I have a curious question. I know crele is a color, but what exactly? Those hens are beautiful.
Crele is a cuckoo - barred color pattern with red, & gold hackles, & rump, with black & white barring upon the body. There's also red crele where there's more red, & gold barring upon the body rather then black, & white.

My project chicken.

Crele is barred (wild type) gold duckwing.
You can other colors for different colored crele. Add mahogany to gold duckwing for (BBR) red duckwing and barring for red crele.
Add (lavender) self blue to gold duckwing plus barring for self blue crele.
Etc, etc.
The crele pattern is specific not just a bird with gold/red and black with barring.
There are no real crele birds involved in this project despite the thread title.

What is supposed to be kept to a minimum? Disputing and correcting misinformation so that people that see the thread and haven't independently researched a topic have the ability to learn?
This is my thread, & it's not to be taken over by other people.
[Don't take this the wrong way?]
I just don't want arguments to happen like last time, is all.
I'm not "misinformed," I've done my research, & studies, & I do so every day when I get the chance.
I normally go back, & correct myself if I realize the info I have learned is outdated, & correct it accordingly.
