ColorDoes Wheaten Crele refer to the color or is it the name of your breed?
It's the color. Crele's not a breed.Okay, thanks. Now that I think of it I'm pretty sure Crele is always the color, not the breed, but I could be wrong.
This is what I don't understand about you. If you have the knowledge why not share it?I'm not "misinformed," I've done my research, & studies, & I do so every day when I get the chance.
Those are pure lines. The Dark Barred Rooster is a single barred, bred to a barred hen resulting in blacks to appear. That's what the experiment is supposed too show if done correctly. Planning to try this sometime. The first grouping is a pure bred to pure bred... .anything after that is crosses. A pure bred barred rock rooster would never be 'dark' or 'black'.
I don't think you realize that barred rock isn't a breed. It's a color variety of a breed. Barred is the color. Plymouth Rock is the breed. Plymouth Rocks come in black as well. Those are pure lines. The Dark Barred Rooster is a single barred, bred to a barred hen resulting in blacks to appear. That's what the experiment is supposed too show if done correctly. Planning to try this sometime.
The solid black hens, & roosters from the previous barred rock breedings are used in the experiment, no other breed. I guess you can try using Australorps, but those are a different breed.
Fact: A period actually starts at the beginning of a sentence.A pure bred Barred Rock male has double barring. Period. That's the breed standard. And its how its an autosexing breed... why would you want to change that?
