When do Wyandottes generally start laying?

Got one holdout at 28 weeks. Maybe holding her feet over a BBQ flame will give her a little added incentive to start laying.

This is one of my girlys pumpkin this was taken a couple weeks ago since then her comb and wattles have gotten larger and red she is about 28 weeks . Does she look ready to lay ?

This thread has been quite helpful. I have two Blue Laced Wyandottes right now at 27 weeks and still not one egg, nor are either squatting. Nice to know it may take a bit longer for these big girls.

My Buff Orps and Dominiques started laying right around 22 weeks.
