when will my baby chicks lay

my chicks are about 2 months old., i have placed in ther other hen population, they are doing fine. My question is when will they start to lay, they are rir and l barred rock., MY other rir did not lay until 9 months old, will these do the same or maybe not as long, since they are with other laying hens

Depends on the breed, but generally 4 to 6 months. I had two hens that didn't lay until they were 9 1/2 months old, but they are brahmas.
