I've interbred animals on my farm for years to enhance features and haven't had issues for them. Sister to brother isn't a good idea, but once is uusually safe in my experience if the parents are unrelated.

Though I did miss the part about being bred twice. I didn't think dogs could do that. I thought only rabbits could have two seperate aged litters internally

Sister to brother, and Father to Daughter is what happened. If only one took, it could have been Sister to Brother. If both took, that could be two differently developed sets of puppies, I don’t think inbreeding is good in most animals. Inbreeding affects different animals different ways. It will always have an affect. Considering that this birth is accidental, I’m not going to be surprised if we say that this mother dog’s parents where siblings to.

There are 4 dogs that she’s being bred by, her 3 brothers and her father.

oh no! There’s A good chance more than one of those took. This birth is going to have to be watched. i don’t know a whole lot about breeding animals, but I know that in situations where this happend, one part of the litter will be less developed, this increases the risk of a stillborn puppy.

I'm not addressing whether it's "wrong" in a moral sense, just what happens if someone gets a lawyer or police involved.

Helping an animal in need is a good thing, but getting in trouble for "stealing" a dog is not a good thing.

If OP always leaves the dog free to come and go, and the owner does not confine the dog at home, then hopefully the dog can be helped without any people getting in trouble or angry about it.

This seems like the best solution hope the dog is ok and the puppies are fine I do not have a dog so I have NO experience. with this but I totally agree that this is the best option If you don't want any trouble but you want to help the dog at the same time

@JadeFarms You need to convince your parents to do something about this dog. She WILL NOT be safe if you down drive era to the shelter, or call animal control. This is serious. If you really want to do all you can for this dog just try too talk to your parents about it. I totally understand how stressful, and maybe scary this is to be dealign with, but also talk to your neighbor's, and see if they can drive her to the shelter. If they fiscally beat the dog THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED!

Yes, this is getting really serious, you will be saving this dogs everything. Plus, when the human society puts her up for adoption if the owners don't get her back, which they shouldn't, then you can go and adopt her!
