I looked for that stuff...but was unable to find any. The local Ag place didn't have any...neither did TSC.You're on the right path... You might want to put some blu-kote on the bare spots as well, wear gloves while applying.
I gave the baby a good bath today. The exposed skin is normal skin color now. Just looks like the baby is missing feathers rather than a wound. How long does it take for new feathers to grow? I figured I'll keep the baby in the broody jail inside the run during the day until the feathers grow back and cover the bare spots. My secretary thinks she has some Blu-Kote at home. She has horses. Is that the same stuff? You're on the right path... You might want to put some blu-kote on the bare spots as well, wear gloves while applying.
Have not yet done nipple waterers. But, my thoughts on training them: smear some FF or peanut butter on the nipples.
If I could grab a chicken I would try that. LolI heal each bird beak to the nipple used other hand to push the button make water come out like 4 times each bird no one has died of thirst
