Another thing I've noticed with this board is that even though the rules state no religious/political talk, multiple threads pertaining to these topics are allowed to flourish. Especially threads about Abrahamic religions. Meanwhile a thread civily discussing the pros and cons of terminating human gestations was quickly deleted.

No one has 'authority' in a pm. No ones owns a conversation. If someone starts talking to/at me and I don't want to deal with them I can and will shut the conversation down. You don't owe anyone your time or response, but no one owes you their time or response either.

She wanted the conversation to be completely over, as in no more replies. I was the only one who could lock it.

No, no matter who starts a pm, either participant can leave it and refuse more replies, effectively locking it.
ETA spamming replies at someone who has asked you to stop is harrassment, please don't do that.
