TSC dosen't carry grit. I heard about parrot grit but then I heard it has to much calcium. Where can I buy grit for my baby chicks?

My TSC does carry grit. Ask them, they can order it.

normally anywhere that sells feed will sell grit. I buy game cock scratch at our local co-op and it already has grit in it. I feed it to all of my birds starting from hatch. The chicks will pick out the smaller pieces and I feed the bigger left overs to my adult birds.... works well. maybe you should check into it.

Go to any pet store and look for grit for budgies or other pet birds. I've used that with my EEs and they were fine.

I just went to the hardware store and bought a bag of all purpose construction sand.

I started my latest chicks wit parakeet grit. I then took them on their first yard trip and realized that I wasted money on parakeet grit. They gobbled up all of the small stones and gravel in sight.

I get a scoop of gravel from the drive way next door, I scoop out the bigger stones!
