My Pet Chicken has their offices in Pennsylvania, but the chickens always ship from Ohio. Believe me when I say My pet chicken has the best customer service and took care of any issues swiftly. I placed a one day old chick order last night. The min. is 6, so I ordered 9 for good measure.

I had both from Meyer, although my blue ameraucana was killed by a fox. I loved both of them. Salmon favarolle is comical and friendly. I cannot stop laughing at her. She just loves to do all silly things. The blue ameraucana was supper friendly when she was a baby, but became skittish after growing up. But she was so beautiful! Both are great layers (about 6 eggs per week), but blue ameraucana's eggs are almost twice as big as salmon favarolle's. Salmon favarolle does have more heath issues than blue ameraucana though, and she may not be heat hardy. Salmon favarolle always get pecked by other chickens so she is a loner, while blue ameraucana had no problem with flock mates.
