Can you help me figure out which type Ameraucana our baby Niblet is? She's so blonde and her contrast feathers are so light grey they're almost blue. I was thinking Silver?
She has the wrong color legs for a true Ameraucana. She's an Easter Egger. I have one similar in coloring, and she lays blue eggs. Her "sister" lays light olive.
Agree she's not an ameraucana she's what would be labeled Easter egger which come in about 117 1/2 patterns so kinda useless trying to match her to one of a handful that true ameraucanas come in.
FYI, wheaton/blue wheatons are one of the rare colors of AMs. Usually harder to find breeders in this color. If you're not paying around $10/each for SR, most likely an EE. Alway ask to see parent stock photos and compare to the AMs club websites.
The photo is not very clear, but she may be Wheaton or blue Wheaton. Here is a link that has photos of the different color varieties so you can compare.
Updated with better picture! Niblet the wonder-peep! The only thing missing is just how steely blue her lightest feathers are. I think blue wheaten is a good fit for her coloring but I've never had Ameraucanas before
