Who do you go to cry on the shoulder of?

I have a feeling most of my friends are somewhat daunted by the mere idea of trouble, trying to change the subject ASAP.
Then there are the friends who I like to have a laugh with but would no way hold "deep and meaningfuls" with.
There are also the people who give a quick pat and "You'll be fine", expecting me to be just that afterwards.
And finally, there are the people who mean well, bless their souls, but they end up akwardly saying the wrong thing every time I go to them with a problem!

Most of the time I mull things over myself if I really have to think about something troublesome.

Yeah, same here. I don't go to anybody really.

Speckledhen is my big shoulder for chicken worries and personal. Whether I need to toss a mystery around with her, get her opinion, cry in frustration, share a worry over family or vent. The phone line is always open going from her to here as well, whatever is needed whenever because she is a trusted friend.

I'm with Rancher. Self analysis, prayer, and the Princess help me through life. It's not always easy for an alien among humans, but for 49 + years the Princess has guided me in social interactions.

Everything else God and I can handle. I am also lucky in that I have two long time male friends upon whom I can depend for complete honesty. 3 GOOD friends (one of whom I am married to) and God - I'm a lucky man, and I know it.

Aww yeah! Sour you are one lucky guy. I hope to find a husband as lovely as your Princess sounds one day.

As for God... he listens in sometimes.

Honestly, I go to my animals

My dogs and cats and even the chickens know when I'm hurting and they don't give me "the pat on the shoulder" treatment, or any of the other options that ray's two cents mentioned. Once in a great while I'll go to my husband but it depends on what the worry is. I can't deal with the pat on shoulder stuff and I get that from him alot

No one.

Life is painful enough without me burdening those I love with my problems. I do sometimes go for a walk in the woods, find a nice secluded spot and sit and quietly talk to the big feller upstairs. I know he's busy and I haven't led the kind of life where he would be likely to listen to me....

But it makes me feel better anyway.
