Who has purchased eggs from ebay ? and what was your hatch rate ?

Brilliant news !!!! I have recandled my eggs with a brighter torch 4 of the eggs that I thought were dead are infact still alive moving about so In total I have 7 that could be potential hatchers yey!!!! And that includes one white silkie egg !!! Yey. I cracked open the other and half of them haven't got past day 6 or 7 and were stuck to the side of their eggs. Yeyyyy

I think it is wise to give sellers the benefit of the doubt with shipped eggs. Until the last 6 I got I had really high fertility, some just quit. I am not so happy with my frizzle polish eggs. Not very clean and covered in marker pen. Of course, I really want one or two of thees to hatch.

I will try recandling tonight with a different light to see if that helps with my BCM eggs.
Poor turkey is not enjoying her confinement away from her nest but it'll be worth it if any of the eggs hatch!

star if you are going to incubate very dark eggs chocolate eggs and such on a regular basis no type of light will pass through you can use 600 grit sand paper to sand two lines down both the front and back of the egg then use bactine to spray the egg lightly to disinfect as you will be removing the bloom from the surface of the shell this will allow you to pass light through the shell to inspect development
