Why did they stop and why won’t they go.

Hey y’all I have 7 hens 2 of which are decently young about 2 maybe 3 years old they stopped producing. I live in Oregon, we have been having forest fires lately, we haven’t been near any but the smoke got pretty bad. (I don’t know if that could help you but I said it anyways) ( it’s also been clear the last few days. ) if you have any ideas why they stopped please help me out thank you

The smoke may have impacted laying somewhat. It's also molting time so I'd expect all birds 1 year or old to be slowing down or stopping (most of my older birds are in molt and have stopped completely).

The amount of daylight is decreasing rapidly. That will cause a marked reduction or halt in egglaying in hens older than 2 years of age.

I have several that have stopped, and are exploding feathers everywhere.
