Why do people buy chickens and not research how to care for them?

People like this seller are in it for only one reason - money. It's all about the coin. Pretty sick. This is also the reason I have no respect for many dog breeders. As an animal rescue volunteer for the past 20 years, I've seen some horrible things happen to badly-bred animals whose owners only care about money.

This is nothing more than what we call a 'puppy mill' except it is a 'fowl mill'! As long as people (usually uninformed, or uneducated --re: like in your post not 'researched') keep purchasing them from these people the more animals they will cram into those cages and sell them--no matter how sick/hurt or regardless of the animals breeding!! $$$ is all they are after and it drives them to do WHAT ever they need to do to get it!
