Why you should never rake leaves around chickens...

Today I made the not-so-smart decision of raking all the leaves in the chicken yard into a pile. I forgot to bring the wheelbarrow to cart them away and in the half a minute I was gone King Louis and his ladies set upon the pile and demolished it. My work wasn't completely in vain, though...I had a lot of fun watching them. Louis was so proud of the demolition that he let out a big crow!

Hehe, that´s so sweet

and clearly shows they´d like to keep their leaves.

I even take a part of the leaves from my garden to pile them in the chicken yard, just to watch that game. They just appreciate a pile of leaves in front of their home more than I do

If you were to throw a bunch of leaves onto a garden bed and park a tractor on top of it would the chickens work them into the ground for you?
