Wicked Snow Storm...

I'm trying to get to my flax bedding but the container is frozen shut. I may have to go buy another bag because I can't get the container open for anything. I'm going to try to get the food now.
Can you bring container inside to thaw?
Be careful out there.

Oh the pics!!
Chickens are ruling your 'roost'......sometimes(95%) it's good to live alone. ;)

I managed to get the food container open, I'll try the flax tomorrow. I checked on the rabbits. Everyone has food and water. The hutches are buried in snow but I feel that is providing more warmth for them. I saw one if the wild bunnies that has been in there, did not see the second one. I put a pile of hay and pellets for them. I left the power running for the heated waterer in the run for those two.

The little shits have completely taken over. That's ok, I can always clean and I know they are safe.

That run is a mess. We have not had a storm like this in a while, of course it happens and happens fairly early in the season when I get chickens....

I'm sure :lol::gig

Can you close off that room from the house heat and crack a window so they don't get too warm....or too used to the warmth?

The door is shut, vents are closed and window is open. It's been like that because of Sir Duke living up there.

The window in the bathroom for the ducks is open and vent closed.

I think the ventilation is pretty good. Now I got to cover the furniture. The dust is awful. I just dusted on Sunday and you woukd never know it.

Sounds like you got it covered.
When will you be able to tackle the tree branch..do you work full time?

Sir Duke seems happy to have the company. Othef then talking to each other and crieing together, the two roosters are not showing any signs of aggression toward each other and they are not far apart. I'm thinking about putting Duke with the original two girls once I get the areas straight. Then maybe rotate them. Duke is a good boy.

I work 11 hours a day and travel for two hours mon-fri, plus Saturday's. This is going to take me forever. My son can help but his hours are limited because he works in retail and tis the season.

I need to get that branch and the one over the fence taken care of first.

The weather is not helping. The temps are dropping to 10 degrees this week.

I got to get the trees cut and make a plan for a roof on the run.

I don't want to put anything in the ground permanently. I already have the one post in there.

Is it possible to make a solid roof structure without doing thst? I was thinking of putting 2x4s on the inside every couple feet(maybe attaching them to one on the bottom?) and using clear panels. Would that work?
