WICKED! (The Musical) (Other musicals welcome!)

I saw it at the Gershwin 3 yrs ago and still cannot get over it. As soon as it was over, I called my mom and told her I wanted to go again. I have the soundtrack, and the books. My all time favorite number is Defying Gravity. It it is Washington D.C right now (1 1/2 hrs away) but all the tickets are sold out except for the really expensive ones.

I've seen Evita multiple times, Cats 3 times, Le Mis, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

I loved that about Wicked too, a story you thought you knew, and a little tweeking here and there and suddenly everything you thought you knew was all wrong.

OMG it's my favorite musical EVER!!!!!! *squeals with fangirl delight*

It's the story of what happened before Dorothy came to Oz. If you read the book the musical is based off of, it's a very different experience. Gregory Maguire's story is very dark in comparison. I won't spoil it for you but if you want someone to discuss the show with after you've seen it, I'll be happy to speak rhapsodic on it for hours on end.

I love the music. I love the set. I love the story. I love the lessons you can take from it. I just love it and would see it again in a heartbeat if my bank account would let me.

I was such an oz-head as a little girl. When I found out that these books existed I was thrilled. I mean, how often does that happen - that something from your childhood matures with you?

Don't get me started---you have created a monster (lol)

The first time I saw it was in San Antonio, and I was blown away. The second time was Toledo (OH) and G'linda was Natalie Daradich and Elphaba was Marcie Dodd--- and I only know that because I have the play bill. (I have the SA one somewhere too -- but couldn't instantly put my hands on it).

Sheesh, I went on eBay and bought a 'bus poster' -- you know like Urban buslines have in the bus shelters --it is something like 6-feet x 4feet.....

Where did you see it all five times? now fess up. ;O)
