Wild baby piglet!!

Don't bother with milk replacer. Milk from the store will do just fine. I have raised a lot of baby pigs. You can also get some meal that is a starter made for baby pigs. You can mix that with milk.

Okay, he's not to old to go ahead and clip them right??

usully we cut them the day they are born. urs may be to old to cut the teeth. i wouldnt worry about cutting its teeth at this point actully. the teeth might be to hard. feel them do they feel soft? if the teeth are not soft dont cut them.. we usully cut them becaue they would chew the tails off there siblings and chew the moms teets. but urs is by itself. shouldnt have a problem

And I'm guessing that before the teeth would grow really long he'd be long gone himself right??

What is the age you usually process them???

Thanks

Cutting teeth is not needed! It is something large producers do and some old time farmers. Those teeth are baby teeth they fall out eventually. They cut them to prevent irritation to a sow nipple and hurting litter mates. My sows don't show any signs of irritation to their nipples and I don't cut teeth and I pull the pigs at about 6 weeks old.

I would offer feed soaked in milk in a shallow dish. As the pig gets older offer more feed and less milk.

Heat pad is good, just make sure he can get on or off it.

Is it a male or female?

I want to thank everyone for their help!! I figured out in 2 days that this just wasn't for us and we just didn't have the time with our work schedule to give it the attention it needed. A lady that raises them came and got him a little bit ago!!

Thanks again,
Missi
