Will they ever lay?

My sapphire gem is the only one laying. They are all 23 weeks

I got them as day old chicks early March at a feed store. They have been on chick starter with eggshells given randomly. I just switched to 20% flock grower. They had a cockrell brother stressing them until he was rehomed last week. I was hoping for a sudden shift in production!
They may not be ready yet plus removing the cockerel will give them something to get used to.
 
I agree with what the others have stated, so many factors play into their maturing, and this heat doesn't help any. Your SS looks ready, by the way she is drop dead gorgeous! :love
I bet in the next 30 days you will see more eggs being deposited, waiting sucks though, as we want to celebrate with our chicks when they begin, so enjoy the egg calls when they happen.

Finally have 5 laying! The cockrell has been rehomed. The blue egg is the first from my alleged "americana"
