They may not be ready yet plus removing the cockerel will give them something to get used to.I got them as day old chicks early March at a feed store. They have been on chick starter with eggshells given randomly. I just switched to 20% flock grower. They had a cockrell brother stressing them until he was rehomed last week. I was hoping for a sudden shift in production!

That's awesome! I had two new layers start today and a couple of days ago and so I am up to 4 a day for the most part!Finally have 5 laying! The cockrell has been rehomed. The blue egg is the first from my alleged "americana"
Did you get them as chicks? Are you positive of their age?My sapphire gem is the only one laying. They are all 23 weeks
