Steel crowed three times in a row to call all the vaast flock within earshot to camp.

Griffin, Sunset, Olive, Huckleberry, Quickpeck, Blue, and Midnight gathered around Steel. Rosewing clucked grumpily, she had to stay in the Healer's den.

"I want all Fledgers and Fledglings to come it on patrol with me. Sky and ground guard Fledges can practice watching and fighting moves, and I would like the scouts to brush up on fighting skills as well. We'll head down towards Sodra flock border, but not right next to it - everyone understand?" He called across the crowd.
