Sorry to hear about your roo.Hi,
I lost my big RIR roo today, he was an old man, and really thought he was something Golden Girl (Buff) stayed by his side for a little bit like she was checking on him. I don't know why he died he was fine all day yesterday and I went to check them this morning and let them out and he was taking his last breath in the pen. I do have his son and daughter so that is the bright spot in this. Wow the king of the yard is gone.
Awesome, they get along you never know.Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone had a very good and tiring Turkey day, I didn't realize just how tired I was till I finely got to really sit down at about 8pm last night. The new man on the yard has really taken to the dominate hen or should I say she is smitten with him. I let my girls out after getting home with him and locked him in the pen so he could adjust for a couple of hours and when they were all interested in each other then I let him out. He went into the coop with the others at dusk and when I peeked in Golden Girl was hugged up next to her new man, and the others were on different roosts. I'm am surprised at how fast he adjusted. Now on to the colors of the blocks, I too thought maybe it was kinda dark and not with the color theme, but there are 5 of us that have gone with bright (not to say that the blues are dull) so I think the blues will break up the colors nicely. Abbynormal I got the Moto Moto, now I just need to watch the new man to pick a name for him, he was called Handsome might still stick time will tell. Now on to finishing my blocks, as my husband tells me "sew sew little silk worm".
