nice day outside today, the girls are sunnying themselves in the run today. Went and helped out a school of awhile this am and now am doing paperwork.....guess that teaches me for falling off the ladder! DH is replacing siding on some dormers today so I would have been no help, with our business you can't get fired just demoted

Jim, that's why we got only an 18' boat. No room for anyone but DH ET, Butt Dog and me !!! Plus couldn't afford a bigger one and I don't trust DH ET with anything bigger !!!

Jim, how many of those Ameraucanas you got left? When they start laying I might need a few pullets, depending on how many of mine are pullets !!

Jim did you get your rebate mailed in for Menards for the 11% rebate? It had to be postmarked yesterday. I usually wait til the last minute and didn't remember it until last night !!!

This really sucks getting old. It is costing me in more ways then one !!

sorry I skipped like 20 pages, Homeschooling is taking all day so far cause we don't have all the bugs worked out. I'm so tired, wonder what the kids would think if I added nap time in our day? lol

I have internet back, it was cheaper to pay it this time than a week or so ago.

Amy- I keep the chickens in stalls so he was in the 2nd stall down, Joan found him on the other side, down about 6 stalls, near where the wild pigeons live up in the old silo.
SO quite the trip for a little chick.

FT- I need to get on hubbies computer to see pics, so I can see a pic of the pony later on tonight.
TO is selling the morgan as she was either left there and board was owed, or given to TO to sell and there was money owed so she got the papers and is selling her. They just don't need her, and feeding her can get expensive.

Lost my mottled lavender roo today. I made a run to Walmart and came home and he was missing. This is ridiculous. I have the cochins in a secure run now but I don't have one for the others. I feel like I can't leave my house anymore. And my husband is in Colorado until Tuesday. We're building an addition on the back of the coop, so the soonest I could get a run built would be a week from now. Otherwise I'd have to tear it down to add the addition. I need in ground fencing and another dog. One that loves to kill furry critters, not feathered ones.

OK, game is over .. the Pak sure knows how to take right down to the last second, don't they ??

we have quail .. I can see at least two of them running around in the bottom of the bator.. quite a few more pips..

I moved all the young turkeys from the TV to an outside pen.. while I was trying to get power to hook up a heat lamp, I left the quails' door open too long and one flew out.. it paraded around the yard for a few minutes, and then it let me pick it up.

had turkey #10 hatch today..

we caught the baby duck this morning.. He is in the machs nix pen.. 1 duckling, 1 peachick, 4 turkeys and 2 quails.. None of the other birds had ever seen a duck before.. It was hilarious to watch.. he kept trying to get close to them and they were panicking all over the pen..

the neighbor didn't show up for the pullets today.. maybe tomorrow..?? LOL It is about 6 weeks since he said he was coming back originally..

FT as close as I can tell I have about 15 americauna left.. I know I have at least 2 roosters.. I can hear and see one of them just learning how to crow.. It sounds pathetic !! BUT it is a good sign.. If the roosters are starting to crow,, the pullets should be close to laying..

Annie takes care of the rebate things.. I assume she sent in the 11% rebate.. It would not be like her to forget..

Brent, I know you can't read this tonight, but hope you are not in any pain.. my first eye surgery was awsome painful.. in recovery, the nurse asked me if I wanted a pain pill.. I said yes.. and then I waited and waited forever for her to come back.. Finally I said to Annie, isn't she ever coming back?? and Annie started to laugh.. The nurse hadn't even made it to the door to leave the room.. LOL

Not too many people posting lately.. I hope they are reading at least..
