Jim the pins were bolt on too at one time but there's busted welds on one side, haven't looked close enough to see if the holes are wore out. Maybe can cut them off and put on new ones. What are the odds? I have a new pheasant pen, used to be the garden. He walked in there a few minutes ago now kinda looking at what he got himself into.

BFF just pulled up and he figured it out. He wants to see what's on his trail cam.

YES YES WELCOME ANGIEBUBS!!! If you've been lurking then you already have the gist of this crew. You must have the sickness too! BFF's pics were all does and crows. Keep hoping that buck will show up.

Chili is simmering for the rest of day with occasional taste tests for more seasoning. Gonna creep up on it this time, last batch was waaay too hot even for me. TO wouldn't that be something to see a show based on what someone read on here? From what's on the tube now can see it happening soon. Thinking a cross between Cloris Leachman and John Belushi would work for FT's part. Suns out here heading out to do something....

You know all my life when things happen in my daily life I often wondered if I was on Candid Camera !!!! I love that show !!!!

I'll have to tell ya about when I got my prosthesis stuck on a horse water pail at the barn I boarded at down in Waterford. I struggled to get it freed up just as another boarder guy walked by. Later I asked him if he saw anything and he said no. Well months later as we all became friends he admitted that he indeed had seen me hovering over this bucket with my knee stuck on the bucket !!!!

How embarrassing !!


Anyway, I cancelled my doctor appointment for Friday. It was getting to hard to get things done around here and make it there at a set time. So I will be going down on Dec 9th for that appointment.
So looks Like I will be coming down Friday. My plan would be to come straight to TO's place or Wcc place with the chickens then on my way to Racine would hit Cinds place.

So if I get all of your address's and phone numbers I can call as I get closer. I'll go down Hwy 51. It will be about a 60 mile longer trip but a whole lot less stressful to try to beat the clock. I have this uncanning ability to run late and I don't want to miss my doc appointment so this will work out a whole lot better. I also won't be so tired.

Ok for now. Just found out that the chickens I suppose to get she is charging me or them. Not sure if I will get them now or not !!

WCC, I'll no doubt keep the polish hens cause I will be keeping the rooster. She wants $50 for all of the chickens. I will breed them all back to mine to get some cool looking chicks I hope. I'll have eggs in spring for ya.

They have an incubator I guess that needs thermostat. I was going to ask her how much for that in case anyone is interested.

SH!T, I suppose I had better get dressed and get something done before I go meet DH to get hay, then down to Jimbos house.

Oh and DrHa, When I got home last night and asked DH how much he loved me he knew I was up to something!!!! I bat my eyes and he says you want another horse? I said no, he said pony, I said no, Then I said something about the chickens, we said oh, like that's no biggie, then I said something else. When he found out it was goats he just basically dropped his head like what is he gonna do with me !!!

I used to pull the same thing on my Mom. I say Mom, how much do you love me ???? I would do this if needed her to doggie sit or come let them out etc. So she caught on fairly quickly when I would ask "Mom, how much do you love me?" Her reply "NOT MUCH !!! "

Miss you Mommy

She always went to Madison with me for over 40 years to the doctor. I still miss her ridding along. On the way home I would always reach over and take her left hand and tell her I loved her !!! At her funeral I gave the director my favorite gold bracelet and told him to put it on her left wrist !!!

Anyway, going to Madison brings back alot of good and alot of sad memories for me. I love Madison. Almost moved there to work in the annoyance call bureau for the phone company !!!! That would have been right up my alley hey????

But having a house to sell I didn't take the transfer.

Ok, enough remenising (sp) Time to get out of my jammies, or should I say gown. Can't do chores with it on, no place to store feathers !!!!

I just got venison stew started in the slow cookers.. I had a HUGE one and stupidly cracked the crock part.. so got a smaller one on sale and had gotten a tiny one from a friend for christmas many years ago.
Carrots, potatoes, celery, onions, wild rice, venison that was lightly covered in flour, browned in a pan, and the stuff in the bottom of the pan was deglazed using DH's prized Lillet wine he uses for Martinis. I used a beef bullion base, then added chicken stock and a can of veggie/barley soup to round out the liquids.
Sure hope it tastes good.. I may have to add, garlic, season salt, onion salt, pepper, italian seasoning and whatever makes the food taste good.
I will take the smaller crock pot to Joan for her to have for supper, probably tomorrow.

My significant other just brought up to me this morning that he was a lil concerned as I was talking about all the chicks I wanted to order in the spring from MPC!!!! He asked how many I thought I was going to have...I reminded him my coop can comfortably hold 70 and that it would help them stay warmer in the winters!! Haha. Right now I have 13....He wasnt amused-said he thought we had plenty as it is.

On my WISH list currently (And ALL hens as I think I have 3 BR roo's that I cant stand the thought of re homing any)-still doing research on these breeds to ensure cold hardy, decent layers, and outstanding personalitys as a whole:

Frizzle
Silver lace wyndotte
Blue (and maybe Buff) orpingtons
Polish top hats (possibly mix so less vision problems)
LF Blue Cochins
and the Swedish one that I cant spell without looking up Appenlauzer Spitzlsdfhjhafjhdfhasdfhasl something LOL (Ok I looked it up Appenzeller Spitzhauben)
