Yep TO! Sure is quiet here today! Maybe we need more snow down south so we all stay in and chat!

Here is what I know about feeding Pot Bellies. Don't skimp on Pot Belly Pig food. Get the good stuff- specifically pot belly pig food and be very diligent about keeping to a strict diet. "Regular" pig foods are designed for growth and weight gain. Pot Bellies are notorious for getting fat/obese and that leads to all sorts of bad things for them, heart problems, joint/mobility problems. I've seen PBP so fat, their faces got fat and on the really obese pigs, fat pockets formed over their eyes and caused blindness. Avoid "junk foods and treats" because pigs love junk food and well, their pigs. They also develop a taste for the bad things and can be hard to get them on a correct diet once they become "junkies" We sold Mazuri feed and a local mills PBP food. A friend of mine had a PBP, Penny, who just passed away at 15. Penny had arthritis but she looked great. Penny got around a cup of food a day and a lot of veggies. I'm not sure that this helps you or not. I can't wait to see pics of your new piggie!!!

BigZ-that is very exciting about the Castle Doctrine. We went over that in class. CA passed a similar law some years back. In Cali there were cases where a bad guy would break into a house, trip over something, break a leg or get hurt, then sue the homeowner for damages and win the case.

Sooo happy for both the Pack and the UW Badgers!
We are sooo on the edge financially with the appointments I have to make for my job, I am limiting them this week as I have personal appts and conserving fuel too.
Its nice to know my boss wants me the "token" female tech on his crew, really I am the only female technician for the company... I don't mind, its been that way with a lot of jobs I do.
My mom is having gall bladder surgery on Thurs, so that is the other reason I am taking time off of work, she is losing her memory on things and is only 65, I am afraid it is going to get worse.
I boiled a chicken carcass yesterday and made home made chicken noodle soup today, well mostly.. I used too many noodles and they sucked up all the soup stock, we added veggies from a frozen bag that was for stew, it was a good choice. We had enough for a meal for DH for lunch and for another dinner next week, when I pull it out of the freezer.

Hey FT--I had a farrier that had his PBP sleep in his bed with him and his wife! It had a set of steps to get up! He said it only ate a little bit...like and apple and half a PBandJ sandwich for lunch. I guess I cant imagine sleeping with a pig....wait. LOL

SO I am up waaay late and have yet to do chores...I was involved in that thread I posted earlier...very interesting! OK--gotta go and lock up! Good night all! Terri O

Well i'm up before the little ones!! I don't understand how DH can set an alarm for an hour early, and listen to it go off every 5 minutes, and SLEEP. I got up. I was awake. CAUSE ALARMS WAKE ME UP. ugh. Sorry, I'm a little peeved. Maybe its the only 4 hours of sleep.

I also can't find a throw to save the life of me. I am anemic and tend to be colder than everyone so I have lots of throws. Well everyone is using my throws!! Waiting for my DS3 to get up and get into his st nick stuff so that I can steal back my heated blanket throw. I am going to make them kids a couple fleece throws (the tie side ones) so they stop taking mine lol. Maybe I should make 432 of them, so maybe one day, not all of them will be stolen and I will get one!!

My friend is coming over who is expecting twins in may. I will probably make cookies, granola bars, other snacky things. I will probably not do my paper for school.

Good Morning All! FT think ET should take you keys away from you. Everytime you go somewhere your feed bill gets bigger.

WCc hope everthing goes well with your mom! Bigz didn't know till a few months ago that you couldn't defend yourself in your own home. Good thing no one tried to come in here unanounced, I'd be in jail! Found the perfect piece of plywood [good stuff] to cover the exhaust fan on the coop yesterday. Should keep any drafts out. TO that OT's thread is interesting gonna try and read all the posts today. Should over to Donny's today to look at the pigs he got yesterday. Don't like the fact that the guy he got them from is a production farmer but they aren't going in for butcher till the end of the month so I know Donny will be treating them very well till then. Should go get straw today have to wait and see how my stupid knee feels first. Still swollen from lifting and twisting splittin wood. We'll see.
