Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

My chickens were having a fit today and I found a cat in their pen. It hissed at me and ran under the coop. I'm trying to trap him. I think I'll get him neutered, vaccinated and wormed. I have a dog house I used to house my goat kids in. I can put some straw in there and keep a dish of food for him. If I bring him to the Humane Society he will be put down. He's pretty wild and scraggly.

Ok... I'm not into BONDAGE... But... Someone better bind my hands so I keep my grubby mitts of those babies trying to hatch....

H&R-Ummmm I have to look up emu info. They are tall, like buttons and all things shiny. The boys grunt and the females make a drumming noise in their chests when they see some thing or some one that does not belong in their territory. Their feathers are amazing to touch and all the ones I met were quite sweet.
I tried to link wiki but can't on this new site.

Anyway, they get 3-4 feet tall. The ones I house sat for had a fenced field with the little emu shed in it. The people had a boat load of land though. I would think that they need a decent sized fence in height-6 feet.. I'm not sure on if they need permits or not. I don't think they need permits but dh can ask the emu breeder. From what I have read very quickly their land requirements are minimal and chain link, hog wire, or 2"x 4" no climb wire works too. Apparently emu's can jump a 4 foot fence.
