Good afternoon...just came in to have a GF beverage and I was surprised at hw much there was to catch up on! I have been busy outside doing all the stuff that needed doing. I now have 2 gates and 4 doors that close like they were meant to! Also my electric fence is back to shocking again. I sure am glad that my horses dont care to do any testing! They were all standing at the gate hoping that I was checking the fence so they could go out in the pasture...nope--the guy hasnt fixed the part that broke when he hit it with his car in that last snowstorm.
DH is talking about going to the dogpark. NOT USING MY CAR!!! I did lots of cleaning of it the other day and we will not be having any dirty dogs in it for a while!
Tomski--those cages are very similar to the ones I had quail in last summer. Mine has the "mink baby guard" around the bottom 4" or so. I had no problem with quail getting through that size mesh (1x1) The Buttons could probably do it though...
Hey BigZ--one of the buckeyes is broody! I set her with 13 eggs this afternoon. It was so cute, as I put them in front of her she took her beak and tucked them right in! So she may be a day early for the "Foolish Hatch" but I will set my incubating eggs tomorrow with the rest of you.
OK I am heading back out...oh yeah one more thing: Susie...if you plan to take the ground cover out at some point use STRAW. It is much lighter when wet than hay is. It is also fluffier to spread out and will cover more ground with less bales.
Later all! Terri O
