Hi, y'all --
Been very busy with the new puppy, enjoying the beautiful weather, cleaning a few flower beds where early bulbs are coming, trimmed the grapevines and will spray dormant oil on my fruit trees tomorrow, ya know - SPRING STUFF - how fun! It feels so good to get outside. I've got a couple of trays of plants started and need to get on the stick to get more going....
I've only skimmed some of the past messages as time gets away from me but tiki244, I did go back to find your post(s) about your landlord and nasty neighbor. Man would I be ticked. I'd be doing a couple of different things: posting No trespassing signs, adding a padlock to the basement door (give the landlord a key), I'd be calling the Sheriff to report the neighbor coming out of the basement with copper pipes - not to file a complaint necessarily but perhaps they could patrol your area more frequently and at the very least make them aware of the situation. I'd be setting mouse traps in the garden just to startle the thieves and perhaps seriously consider spraying hot pepper spray on my veggies to protect them from the thieves. (I think the stuff washes off.) I'd also be putting up No trespassing signs IN the garden and would make smaller signs telling the thieves if they're going to take produce they should leave you $ for them, and alternate other cautionary signs like, "Don't eat - manure tea just sprayed", etc. I know, I know... probably not likely to do any of these things but I certainly would be thinking about it. I also like the idea of putting up a fake video cam with a notice premises are being videotaped. Ya might spook them that way. In all actuality, it sounds like a really bad situation and if you have the chance to move, I'd certainly recommend it. People like that don't just change and they sound just AWFUL. I'm really sorry you have to put up with their nonsense! Hugs and good thoughts being sent your way! (Beautiful birds by the way!)
Well that's all I've got - too tired to write anymore.
Stay well & enjoy the sun & the warmth while we got 'em!
Elaine
