Hen update... pretty certain it is not heat exhaustion. Upon doing some research on BYC... her symptoms are pointing to internal laying or yolk buildup internally... there is a fancy word for it, but that is the best I can do to explain.
she is still very listless and wobbly. Wants to sit down. eats just a little and drinks a little ( I have her on antibiotics). Even cooked some egg and had to put it near her face and she took a nibble and that was it. Pooping a little, but watery. pale comb and huge pupils.
we leave for disney in a few days so we may have to cull her before we go. Not the best news for the happiest place on earth is it... oh well, we have been up front with the kids from day one about animals life and death. Although this is the chicken that would hug my daughter by putting her head on her shoulder. Would get jealous when she petted other chickens and hop in her lap. Such a little lover.
Morning !!!!Morning all!![]()
Good Luck Bl4 !!Breakfast of Champions!!! Raisin toast with PB, a few slices of bacon and of course some Joe....
Just taking a moment before I round everything up and head over to the Park. I hope I am able to answer everyone's questions!!!
Cind, I had a slightly more 'modern' version of those skates.... and we did all the same things you mentioned. I love telling my kids about riding my bike when I was a kid too and all the stuff we did without helmets and padding all over us. Those accidents build character darn it!![]()
I better get moving. Enjoy the day!

x2 on those sentiments! And you are correct, Vicki. Frenchie would face the devil in a heartbeat, and then proceed to talk his arm off about chickens, ducks, geese, guineas, horses, pigs, goats, donkeys, etc.FT~your hubby is so fortunate to have you! Not everyone will stand up against the medical "machinery" and get answers. Good for you! Well, it wasn't great news but it might have been worse. At least now you know what you are dealing with and that it's treatable and can move forward. I get the feeling you are the kind of gal that can face any kind of devil as long as you know what it's face looks like
. Hope you don't mind my putting you on my prayer list![]()

Good Morning Everybody! CindIf it's a shallow well using all new stuff would only be 3-$400 depending on depth. Deep well should ony be the cost of a pump. That just blows my tiny mind!![]()
