Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Supposed to be a high of -10 next Monday and pretty darn nasty all week. Trying to figure out what I can do to get them ready this weekend.
Anyone know which does better in sub zero weather: the heated plastic dog dish waterer or the double wall metal waterer that sits on the heated base?
Anyone else have faverolles? And have problems with golf ball size icicles on their muffs? Last night has Elsie in the house blow drying her muff to get the chunks of ice off :-( Poor baby...and tonight nothing-all fluffy again.

Terri O: I think that would be a great idea-along with a sign up of going/what your bringing to the chicken bash-a list of chicks/chickens available!!! (I only want one or two EE's LOL). What are OEs?

BBP: Your thigh not fitting thru your basement windown my a@@!! Your about two inches wide!!!!! You could go in sideways with room to spare!!!
I like the dog water bowl. You can put water in, and than I also set a emptied out milk container filled with water in it . I use the milk container to refill when empty or dirty. The gallon of water also stays melted and it leaves enough room for the chickens to drink out of.

Judge,
Keep your hands out of the incubator

OK, THIS is my last post for the night..

there were no saucers when we were kids sliding down the hill..

My dad was a furnace installer, and we would take a sheet of his sheet metal and sit on that..
you want to talk about a fast trip down the hill !! OSHA would have shut is down for sure.. there were no safety edges on that "tin" (as we called it).. I don't recollect anybody ever getting cut,,

and more than once, we hooked up a horse to our sleigh, which was the hood off of an old car turned upside down.. what great fun we had..

thinking bout all the stuff we did as kids gives me goose bumps. Now if my grandkids did it, I would simply have a heartattack

I have asked an expert this question, and now I am asking you all..
has anybody here grown spray millet ? Annie wants to try growing her own for the cockatiels..

......jimwhowilllookfortheanswertomorrowmorning.......
I have not tried growing it myself yet, but I have seen something similar in Gurneys catalog, I think. I was interested in growing some too, if the wild birds wouldn't have a field day with it first.

Hi All! Feeling a bit "off" tonight. Hope I'm not coming down with something, never got around to a flu shot.

The best "sled" we had when I was a kid was a '50s style refrigerator door. It was slightly bowed and after a couple coats of wax that sucker would fly!!!

Well, cutting this short... night all!
