another weather report ` a -14o w/o the windchill earlier. Now it's a balmy -9o.
Terri~so sorry to hear about your chookies. I just can't believe a Border Collie! Guess it's true what the "Dog Whisperer" said about there being a fine line between the herding instinct and the prey drive. Just never heard of a BC crossing over to the dark side before, wow.
Happy Birthday Carol!!!!
2 of my girls have stopped laying again. thinking I may have upped the protein a little too much. Backing off to see if that solves the problem. (research told me that can be a cause). Otherwise mine are all snug as little bugs in their cozy coop with their oil heater and sun shining into their big window.
Picked up some millet sprays from Foster and Smith saturday to give them something to keep them busy during "lock down" this week. Not a bad deal. A large bag was only $3.88. Let my girls go play in the greenhouse for an hour yesterday even tho the wind was raw because with the sun shining it was still nice and toasty in there. Might let them go play in there for an hour or two later today if we keep our sunshine just to get them a bit of fresh air. It's funny to watch them "high steppin'" it in a little chookie line as soon as I pop the door streight for the greenhouse!
Ok, my coffee's cold so it's time to get another cuppa, curl up in my recliner and find something on the telly that ISN"T the innauguration.
a little prayer everyone (and their critters) stays warm and nobody loses power tonight
