Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I got the dutch door finished.. transferred 46 assorted chicks/keets to the nursery..

Now I am going to relax and go mow some lawn .. I wish I had a mini baler .. or a tiny hay rake..

Congrats on the wins Sclark...nothing to complain about for sure!

Sorry I didn't mention your Aunt H&R...nothing but the best wishes sent your way.

Ended up with 10 more ripe tomatoes today...ate a softball size one like a apple, with a little more sucking to save every drop of juice..heaven for sure! They have beautiful skin and texture....love the variety called jett setter....performs every year like a champ.

Local farmer is selling his corn tomorrow in C-ville at the grocery store special produce sell...4$ a doz for fresh corn this early in season is a great deal. We grilled 16 doz last week at camp, and it is tasty, ready , and sweet...gonna pick up a doz for the grill tomorrow. I prefer it golden brown when grilled.

Thanks Bigz!

Our chicks made it to the main post office in Madison this afternoon so we went and picked them up...all 20 look nice and healthy...they are currently in our brooder and doing well.

We didn't plant any tomato plants this year, we just ran out of time, my flower beds didn't get done either like I was hoping to do....oh well always next year.

I have not been to the garden for about a week.. It always looks better when you see it only once in awhile..

i"ll bet the weeds are chest high by now..

I mowed the front lawn just now.. WOW !! i knew it would be long, but WOW ..

I could feed a cow with just my lawn mowing..

the nursery chicks figured out the dutch door real quickly.. the guineas acted like it was always there..

I transferred the 46 guinea keets/chicks into the nursery.. they just blended right in with the big chicks.. no hassles

Congrats on the wins Stacie!

And sorry bout your aunt H&R.

Don't think I will go to Portage as it's too far and I wanna see how this weekend in Ladysmith will go first.

Was up in Hayward and there they sell a dozen sweet corn cons for a whopping $7.50!!!! Dang that's outrageous! But got me some watermelon and tomatoes. Hmmm.

Got back from town yesterday and guess who is sitting on the couch with laptop blasting and tv on?!? Yup, you guessed it. The BRAT! Urgh! And he will stay til Monday. Not sure I'll survive that....
His lazy a€€ was all day today on the couch too. When I had to get some feed and groceries I asked him to make something simple for dinner for his dad. I mean come on, the kid will turn 24 tomorrow and was married! Got back and whattaya think? Yup, abso-freakin-lutely NOTHING besides still on the couch with music and tv on and his leftover trash (food and drinks) all over the room. Of course, his spit bottles (as besides smoking he now also chews. Yuck!) on the kitchen counter, living room table and one outside too. Can anyone say nasty?!? I SOOO can't wait for Monday...

Him and his dad just went down to marshfield to pick up his pickup as his 18wheeler sits now in the front driveway and his trailer across the gas station in town. At least this way we have use of a pickup when we need one. At least something good but the gas money for that thing will kill us.

One of my duckies was acting a little off for a couple of days but got her back on track with electrolytes and extra niacin. Now she runs happily with the crowd again.

Everyone else is happy, enjoying the shade during the heat of the day and getting a nice swim before lockup/bed time. They love it!

Also started some FF this past weekend and the ducks don't like it AT ALL! Lol. How can they prefer the dry crumbles to the most stuff? At least the Rouen babies don't mind and gobble it up. And gosh do they get big! Already starting their feathers too! Hopefully I can sell some birds at the swap. Really really need to reduce the numbers, badly!

Oki, enough of my rants and excessive duck stories. Keep your fingers crossed til Monday for me for I don't blow up in the brats face. Would NOT go over well for him... Hehehe (evil laugh)

I will be at the Portage show this year getting cast-offs from the breeders. :)

Sad day today, we took our sick geriatric kitty to be put down. Actually my almost 19 yr old DD did. This was her cat so this was really tough for her. I give her a lot of credit, I have not been able to sit through that with my own animals yet.

So anyway, that's about it for now. H&R, I have 18 tomato plants going and I am pretty certain CC will have a bunch she would relinquish.......
