The heat will cause diarrhea in your birds, Kristi, and a slight drop in egg production. Keeping them well hydrated with vitamins/electros in their water is one way you can help them cope. Unless of course you are Bigfam and can weasel your hubs into installing A/C in the coop.Love catching up here! Will try some veggie spray on the 2 with the scaley legs...on a side note...I noticed a runny poop or two in the coop today...could this be heat related or should I be concerned? Had a slight drop in eggs when it got really hot 3 weeks ago but otherwise just one of the scaley leg hens looks rough. Gave lots of fresh water today... your thoughts?
getting some first cucs from the garden and first tomatoes! YUM and we have a CSA to boot... which is good because my garden is super weedy and only getting half what I normally should. Next year will be better!! On a side note the bees look good and healthy and getting ready to add another box to them.
