Celtic, you're right having other things to do does keep your mind off the loss, most of the time. We'll be right outside of Janesville. DH said it was about 36 there last night...Brrrrrr!

Baby very pretty ducks. If they weren't so messy I'd be wanting some. Ok,ok, I want some, but they are too messy. Are their ducks that are considered quiet? And how quiet is that quiet? No, no, no ... don't answer, I DON'T need to know that! No ducks! No ducks! No ducks!

No chickens for me... once we get settled in and a coup built.. I can FINALLY have chickens... after a "brief" wait of 48 years

Is anyone going to have chicks at the bash? I've never been to it & have no idea what it will be like, but it sounds like fun.
Maybe we could meet somewhere & carpool up there on Saturday?

I really want to go, but at the moment have no idea whether I can make it. I may end up being the unannounced guest, lol. I am hoping once we get there and take a few days to get settled in I can get a game plan in motion for the next couple of weeks and figure out if I can make it. I'm pretty sure DH and DD won't want to attend, they think I'm absolutely NUTS with my desire for chickens and all (of course I could be wrong, he's pretty protective, to the point of over protection sometimes and it's likely he won't want me wandering away from home to meet all you strange chicken people by my self

... He cracks me up sometimes. I keept telling him I don't know how I managed to survive 45 years without him. If I can figure it out by the first week of June I'll let you know. Carpooling would be great.

Speakin of which.... Hey Bigz or anyone I have been looking for the ultimate beer batter recipe for fish. I tried several, still not the one I want. It has to be light and fluffy, puffy. The Bryan and Joe Fishin Show ended up with 22 in the livewell. Not a spectacular day but not too shabby either. Think a couple of days of warm weather will get them in and it'll be over quickly as late in the spring as it is. I kept 8 for us and sent the rest home to Bryans [BFF] freezer. Their chillin in the fridge in salt water to firm them up.
