Well its been a while since I've posted here. I'm in the progress of a winter hatch. I'm ordering some Olandsk Dwarf eggs to throw in the 'bator. They will be my first banties. going to get a huge flock this year so i have lots of variety.

hey everyone, I love winter but thoughts of spring have got me searching. Has anyone ever tried making a greenhouse out of cattle panels or even a chicken tractor?

yes Joe, made a greenhouse and sold it to a friend, also helped 2 other friends make a couple of tractors last spring,,,there are a few shown on this site as well,,,,easy to do

I have a small green house. Not made with panels. I have seen them and thought they were a great idea.

We built a hoop house over one of the raised beds using pvc and plastic sheeting.

Hi all! Highlight of the day was taking the car in for a new battery. Went to F&F with my friend Peggy. Just for kicks we turned the car off on arrival, let it sit a minute and started it again. (it started) We went in and told them we were there...by the time the mechanic went out to drive the car in it wouldnt start! Yeah, I guess I needed a new battery hey? Now I just hope it keeps on starting the car and their is nothing else wrong! When DH gets home I will ask him to put his "magic car box" on there and make sure everything is working OK.

I thought I had to work all day today but then realized it is tomorrow! So at least the car will be ready to go. This will be the day that decides if I will keep this job or not. The client might be just a little too "needy" and too rude about it! The only problem is that if I dont keep her then I have NO JOB!!! (gee, that doesnt sound too bad at all right now...) Probably wouldnt fly too long however! I am thinking that I want to get back into taking care of little people instead of big people. Might be the time to do that...

So I went and bought a nice rib eye for my dinner. I have everything ready to cook...only problem is that I am not hungry in the least! Cripes, if I had nothing here to eat I would be starving for sure. Must have been the tacos we had at lunch...

BL4...I cant believe you take all your critters to the vet at once...then you go and take all the kids to the dentist! It is kinda like you live a really LOOOONG way away from stuff! LOL! Or maybe it is just easier to waste a whole day instead of doing it piecemeal? I am really glad that mine do their own appointments now...the kids not the pets!

I guess that since it is dark the chickens might be inside and I can close the doors. I tried to lock everybody up when I got home today at 4:30 but they were all still out messing around! Now I have to go back out! Darn birdies!

So goodnight to you all...I am sure I wont get back on until after 7 tomorrow night...I really dont care for 12 hour days! Nighties! TerriOstillnotabithungry
ETA: Nice hoop house Cassie! My friends did that too. Did you have to heat the PVC to bend it? I thought about doing that over my raised bed salad garden so I could grow the tortoises food for a longer time.
