Hi Zeke! I love all my orps. Very gentle, friendly birds, and great layers of large eggs. I'd say they lay 4-5 eggs a week. My boys are really well behaved and very large. I've heard a lot of people say that they go broody a lot, but I've only had one go broody a single time & that was it.I noticed you have lots of orps. what is it you like obout them? your roo looks nice very tempting do you sell eggs for hatching I dont have any orps but i sure like there loook!!!! r they decent layers
Hey Chris, I am a newbie too and I live very close to you! I grew up in Weston, very close to Weston School, and now live in Kronenwetter!!! I also have 2 kiddos, both boys. We just got 3 chicks and we are looking to add a few more. My 2 yr old son is obsessed with the chicks, he wants to be by them constantly! My husband thinks I have lost my mind also, so don't feel badHi I'm Chris a mom of 2 kiddos and a bunch of critters! We live in the Wausau area on a small hobby farm. I have just become a a BYC member as I recently picked up a batch of chicks that will be added to my adult flock eventually and realized I may need some help with this endeavor! It's great to hear about all your chicks and other hobbies!Hey

I can sell hatching eggs if you would like some.
Oh, that really stinks. So sorry to hear that, Mel.Not such a good day for the cat, he is looking pretty bad.... I do not think he ate much at all today, even though we are giving him an appetite stimulant. Tomorrow the vet is going to evaluate him and probably put the tube in again. I just don't know...... I hate making these decisions. It really stinks that I have to be at work all day long instead of taking care of him...... and it did not help at all that I had to be gone for 3 days this weekend so he did not get all the help he needed...... ugh....
newbies! I see I have a few in the area.![]()
Yes CC I have LOTS of pearls.... they are my birthstone.Besides, they go with everything!![]()
I need 70,, some won't hatch, so I want 100 or so..hey zeke, interesting info, when I first saw eldorado on your header it brought back memories
in the early '70's I spent a lot of days hunting that area, started with snow geese at the marsh right behind the school. Then over a few years I got to know a few farmers in the area, used to get permission to train dogs during the summer on pheasants, hunted their land in the fall,,,,yup,,,good ole memories,,good dogs, good times for the hunters
the names escape me now, but nice folks in that area
good to see new folks in the group
Jim eggs are usually sold by the dozen,,,where did you pull 100 from?

I had skunks kill three setting geese and eat/destroy 3 dozen eggs in the process.. maybe they won't harm a chicken, ??
