Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Some memorable moments:

That icky white bug that looked like a June bug that was flying around and then struggling on it's back. I can't believe someone just goes and picks it up and lets it crawl all over them! Eww! (there's always someone in every crowd that'll do that! LOL!)

My daughter Tasha going into the tent w/her friend and saying; "Wow! It is DARK in here! We should turn on the light!....OH!"

All the moaning and spooky noises coming from the surrounding woods...(kids were playing ghost in the graveyard and flashlight tag)

My 6 yr old at the end of the day. Covered in sand and mosquito bites and face sticky with ring pop sucker w/hair stuck to her mouth. LOL!

Being woken up by a rooster for the 1st time in my life.

Someone's kid going to eat their pancake and flipping it over to find a moth baked in the batter! Jim's response was for them not to say anything because then everyone will want one!

Frenchie saying "Well...it's not THIS dozen, but one of my dozens is hard boiled!" with egg yolk dripping off her fingers!

Pyscho: The boy standing next to redwolf is his son I beleive, and the one in front with the animal towel/scarf is their daughter. The one wearing the yellow scarf/towel/hat is ghostrider LOL

Yvettes two kids are in front of her-daughter and son dark hair.

Not sure who your mentioning behind Yvette but Jimis looking over her left shoulder and chickenscratch is to her right in dark jacket with hat

AmberFlea: Thank you for supplying the cute and creative name tags for everyone!!!

BabyLady/Mel: Thank you also for the great smelling soaps (How soon can they be used?) and all the kitchen duty you put in!! Hope you have an awesome time on your trip!!!

I missed buying soap..I always intended to..but never got around to it.

Thanks to all the hard worker to keep every thing clean. I left early and did not do the last of helping..sorry.

When I was washing dishes I might have put the inside of the cheese cake pan inside of another cake pan on the counter. (Just before starting bacon Sunday morning) I washed a lot of dishes, however I was a horrible put away person and never put anything away. I stacked and piled..sorry guys.

All soaps should be able to be put to use EXCEPT the green bars, they need another 3 weeks in a airy dark place ( like a closet shelf).

Back on the road! We need to motivate these teenagers in the morning..... they take forever!!!! Should be camping in the Badlands tonight.

Enjoy the day!

WOW! Someone has a memory! (we all know it's not me) Good job. I didnt read the whole list but that is about how many we figured +/-.
I think everyone had a great time...didnt hear too many complaints. Wonderful white elephants everyone! Whoever got that pizza cutter...watch out for your FINGERS please! Thant thing has an edge! (thankd BigZ and Suze)
We got out of camp around 2:30 I think...took a little jaunt around the place looking for saplings to bring home. I am going to make a "little camp" right here~then when I am stressed I can just go out there and sit and rejuvenate...wonder if it will work?

Anyhow, Derek and I had a great time--as usual; and I cant wait for next year already! There was some question about a summer/fall mini bash and I will let someone else take the reins on that project. Remember, anyone can have a bash (big or little) any time you want! these are probably the only vacations that some of us get!
Just a reminder for those of you that like to plan ahead....next year's spring bash will be held on the same weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday the weekend after Memorial Day. We thought it would be easier to plan if we booked it right away. Sorry if it doesnt fit with some people's plans, but this is the latest weekend we could take without going into July! This little camp is getting pretty popular for sure! (and if you have been there you know why!)

Here are a few of the pictures I got...I thought I took lots more...I guess I was just too busy enjoying myself!
Getting ready for the raffle:

Hello all, it was really nice meeting those of you that I got to meet. It was fun!! Next time hopefully I will be able to spend more time and talk to more folks :)

I love the chicks Delisha!

TerryO, looking forward to some little Buckeyes running around in a few weeks.

For those of you I mentioned the non-hatching $50 Barnvelder eggs to, I have an update. Not one hatched. I did however find a major problem with my incubator so I can only blame myself, or one of my dang cats. This problem would also explain my terrible hatch rate with the last batch of my own eggs. My egg turner has been turned off for lord knows how long. The cords were plugged in behind the bed in my spare bedroom. I just happened to notice from setting TerriO's eggs that the eggs were slanted to the same side and just happened to wonder and trace the power cord. Unplugged... Hopefully, the 7 day old eggs in there can recover.

Aaaw lisa, that sucks!

When we got home, the house STANK! Sadly, 3 of to's eggs already exploded :-( not a good sign! Temp and humidity were the same...we quickly removed them and did some cleanup. Temp was back to normal in no time. That bator is awesome!
I hope this was not a sign of how the rest of the hatch will go!!

Better luck with the new eggs lisa.
