Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Jim, I'll have to check in Crandon tomorrow or Saturday.... spent all day today..... well, not accomplishing nearly as much as I would have liked.

REALLY SUCKS.... long story short, Medicare will NOT pay for a CPAP machine for me because I don't have Sleep Apnea..... I'm ISSED OFF with a CAPITOL P...... I don't have an extra $150 a month for a year to pay for one and I won't.

I'll just go to more and more and more and more and more and more doctors and let them pay for those appointments until they find out what they will pay for to make me feel better..... sure hope it isn't my cardimyapathy getting worse. Wonder how they would like the bill from a heart transplant ????? Gotta love insurance companies hey ??? LOL

I haven't lost a chick from Cocci or had any symptoms and this is the first time I've ever used non medicated chick starter because of the ducklings. One thing that I think helps and I've learned is I give all of my chicks, ducklings and younger birds room temperature or even luke warm water instead of a nice cold water... I think that has made a huge difference for me.

Still didn't get to the laundry mat, may go now..... ET's boss never showed up to scrape my paddocks.... like I said above I am so ISSED OFF with a CAPITOL P it isn't funny. Never mind I drove 200 miles round trip to buy him chicks, that I paid for !!!! Time, gas and expense of chicks...... and I'm on borrowed time (the doctor told me that once, nice hey) so my time is valuable... I told ET even more so because it is borrowed time.... !!! LOL
So looks like we will have to rent a skidsteer..... I will be sending this guy a bill for the chickns... Plus we went and picked up a coop for him (he paid for coop and gas) but didn't say we needed to bring a come along so we had to drive to Marshfield to buy one to use to get the blasted thing on the trailer. That was on borrowed time as well.
When I texted him on Sunday asking when he thought he might be over..... When I get time !!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I am in such a bad mood tonight...... Don't want to go back on my diet (one day is all I need to slip up and quit !!! LOL) , Am tired of doing things for people that don't appreciate it or stick to their end of the bargain. I mean this guy couldn't get these chicks fast enough. Was so happy to get them and I was so excited for his kids..... ARGH !!! You know just a freakin phone call OR Text (that he is so good at doing when it's to his bennefit) would be all I would have needed. I am a very understanding person........ This is it.... I'm done...... enough said !!!

Thanks for listening..........

I wormed my chickens with Valbazen tonight. I was going to take a stool sample in, but I'm pretty sure they have worms just from eating around in the horse manure. I just have to do my bantams and my three roosters. This bottle is so huge, I woo never use the whole thing.

Thanks CC for the link to TSC's Corid. Delisha, do I have to change the dose depending on the concentration? The stuff at TSC says for cattle, and its 20%. Is the poultry form at 9%?
1/2 teaspoon for the 20%. I do not have the 9%. But if that is liquid solution you use 9.5 cc per gallon.

Thanks for the info about warm water.
I have had cocci before. It was a long time ago when I got a batch of cornish. I was pretty sure I would never have it again since I ferment my feed. I am just glad the birds are all acting normally. Eating and drinking and running around like kids again.

I have all new bedding and I will be doing a complete strip when I am done with all of this. I am glad I have LABS made. I am spraying the whole yard.

Sandi,, forget about the B Sprouts.. DD#1 got me 18 plants today.. but thanks you for the offer..

I worked in the garden today.. I "hit the wall" 3 times.. Sh!t !! getting old really sucks.. Plus having only 3/4 of a heart doesn't help either..

I picked a couple of wheelbarrow fulls of rocks.. those VW sized ones were a beotsh..

I double dragged to dredge up all the rocks I could,, then I rototilled and still hit a bunch more..

I am going to go back out and plant the beans and corn yet before dark.. I already dug out the planter and oiled it up and it is all ready to go.. wish I was..

is it OK to bank dirt up around corn stalks after they are about a foot tall ? I think I heard of this a long time ago,, never tried it.. seems like a good idea to help keep it from tipping over in a strong wind.. I had that happen only once in all my years of gardening.. and that was 2 years ago..

better get going before it gets dark..

well it must sound like you do not have enough to do that your kids bring you more. They are very thoughtful. I have no idea what it is.

Crap... Another dead one. I now have 3 waterers with corid. I emptied out any items with rain water in them. Please, only drink the medicine water!

I don't have a burning barrel, and I really should be burning the carcasses and all the bedding when I clean. I wonder where I can get one...?

The bright spot of today, he!l all week, is Halden is watching Team Umizumi (a cartoon). The show says "sing Millie measure" and he said it! Then there was another thing said that he listened too, and responded appropriately! For a kiddo who isn't considered verbal, it's super to hear these responses after a rough day!

I have raised orphaned wild birds. I will post the recipe to feed them in a bit.
For now I am cuddling a little orphaned Canada goose! I raised one a few years ago and gave it to a local wildlife education park. My daughter still talks about how she misses that goose. She's not home until Sat., so this will be a huge surprise.
