Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Most people I know on this board get them out with in 24 hours, but if you have some one's phone number from our group here, I would call them. I know that Kristi and I have both removed chicks from the incubator after they have completely hatched and started to dry.

Speaking of which TERRI!!! TERRI!!
Hey TO.. what ever happened to the "super glue" chick I had to unstick from the wire on your incubator?
see the story goes I see a chick pipping...I added water to the bator and waited...
Just before I got to bed (midnight or later I think) I hear frantic cheeping....
So I go down into her dungeon err... basement, and behind the door I hear peep!! peep!! PEEEP!
The chick is partially out but is in an odd postion next to the other eggs. I break the egg a little not touching the
inner membrane, it is still wet , so I put the lid back on and go to bed.
Next morning, I go to check on the chick, and the poor thing looks like Spider man has webbed it to the wire mesh
on the floor of the bator.. I mean it was stuck!
So upstairs with it in a warm sink, peeling off bits of egg shell, bits of dried something.. and unsticking its feathers
from itself, its wings were literally stuck to its sides.
thanks :) and I hope that chick made it!

Bbl4, I have an ecig. It is amazing! I went from 1pack a day to 2 cigs or even none. I am at the lowest nicotine level now. I tried zero. But started smoking more cigs. So I figure, this is a huge accomplishment. And will stay where I am comfortable for now. Ive been smoking since I was 12. And the only time I have been able to quit before was when I was pregnant.
It is sometimes a pain to keep batteries charged. But make sure you have a car charger. And I bought a 3rd one. I have vaporking. Have never tried any others. I do not like change. Once I lime/or am used to something, I keep it the same. Hope this helps :) I do think it is something your hubby needs to be seriously interested in for it to work for him.
Good luck!

cuties, I let mine dry completely in the hatcher tray, usually 24 hrs then I remove them. With the cabinet style incubators you won't loose humidity or temp for long if you are organized and don't mess around when moving them. I'm sure they could take a couple days in there if needed,,,,,,

Thanks! It is dickie. When I am done at work, I will do some removeng. I will dip for water. And offer wet ff. Is there anything else besides obvious heat lamp in one corner? Just want to make sure I take good care. I lost the other two that were hatched :-( guess im just getting myself worried.

Thanks Cuties! He was intrigued with the ecigs at the Bash and would like to know more. He is smoking at least a pack a day right now and I think he would like to quit.

When I first started, I cut out regular cigs cometely. But I was such a b, my fam could not handle me. It is in my head. I know. I can go 3 days now, and I dont realise im not smoking. It helps haaving the replacememt tho.
It does depend on the situation. When I have a few beers, I need to smoke. And when I do yard work. There is just certain times...
I hope it works for him :) I feel better that I cut back :)

Morning all - like cuties, I'm also having a hard time being at work today. Hubby is now officially retired, he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and the small company he was lead carpenter for can't accomodate part time, so he is now a SAHM. JJ: can't call him a SAHD since we don't have kids and not sure the chickens count.

As kristip posted, there are a few of us in the area. I think it would be great to have a South/Central get together and here's a thought . . . we can invite Terri O

wink back at ya. We have a golf course across the road from us that has a nice little picnic shelter. This course doesn't treat their greens so many people don't like it, but we love it because they don't use chemicals and it isn't very busy, and we aren't very good. I can check with them to see if we could have our little "meet and greet" in there shelter. I also love the name . . . Argument Golf, it's on Argue Rd.

kristip, what do you think?? I know the summer is pretty busy for everyone, but maybe we could find an afternoon some weekend this summer. After this next weekend our summer isn't too bad, well roofing the house and 150 meaties, but hey that's mild compared to those of you with kids and their summer activites.

FrenchToast - it sucks that insurance will only pay for the cpap if someone has sleep apnia. Perhaps since yours is such a unique sitiuation due to the tons of chemo, the manufacturer will work with you on the cost of the machine.
Oh, please do stop in! I'd love to meet you - so would the flock! I'm just south of Waupaca (near hwy 22 and 10) take K to the Red Mill and you'll see the store about 1/2 block south on the corner of Danielson Rd & Crystal Rd. It is an antique/collectible/gift/junque shop that is trying to also be a farm market one day. I have a little bit of everything! I also have fun and teach some art classes in my studio.
We've been up to the Waupaca area a few times and loved it!! The next time we venture up your way - I will stop at your shop. Hubby and I love hitting the antique and thrift shops. Found a nice little book case at the Dane House (I think that's the name) years ago. We have much in common - I also plan to teach some art classes in my studio once I retire 6 more months ...

I am trying to post about e cigs for the THIRD time without losing everything....I will then give up!

I started out with a eGo and it worked very well....its also a very common e cig. The 350/600/900/100 aHm is basically how long the battery will last between charges. I would recommend at least a 900. Usually, starter kits come wiht a atomizer which means you drip 2-4 drops of flavored liquid into the top and it equals 1 cig. I switched to a clearomizer which is a small tank that holds a lot more juice and its been awesome (no more leaking all over).
I have been researching this as MN is going up 1.60 a pack soon and I am thinking this might be a good side business to get into. I stopped smoking over a year ago with very few "Cheats" and it was incredibly easy! I also discovered that I have been paying almost a 100% mark up at the mall kiosk I go to. Going to a store is nice to test to see what you like both with devices and juices/liquids. I am keeping this one a lot shorter and straight to the point so I dont lose it LOL Let me know if you have any questions...

Rberry, I am sorry to hear about your husbands diagnoses. Thankfully you only have 6 months to go.
I am curious; do you guys (irish) plan to teach art with kiddos, or adults?

Interesting read on those ecigs !!! Saw one for the first time about a month ago but don't remember where .....

My dad was a very heavy smoker. I was always nagging at him to quit. I'm sure the second hand smoke had a big influence on my moms heart. She had 4x bypass two years before she was killed (for those of you that don't know when I say that, both of my parents were murdered in a home invasion 11 years ago in Racine). Then they discovered she had pulmonary hypertension (which could have been from secondary smoke, or the premarin (made from horse urnine )

Bottom line that secondary smoke is h3ll on other people so Kudos to all of you trying to beat the smoking addiction and using the ecigs too !!! I know it's got to be hard. I can't even quit eating ice cream.... deal was if I quit ice cream ET would quit chewing (started that when we moved up here) He was out of it the other day and HOLY COW I basically begged him to go get some.... He can be a real ARSE at times.... then multiply that 1000 times without his chew.
I bought him some of the stuff that just tastes like it or some darn thing, that didn't work.
Any clues on how to quit chew... ???

Cuties.... I think getting PG might just get you to quit for good. Your down to just a couple.... getting knocked up just might do the trick hey ????

Congradulations on getting that far !!

How's my polkadotted dog doing?

Oh boy, I hear the tractor running..... should get out there to make sure ET doesn't hit anything or any animals. It's a huge Case 480 CK... Not the most dainty thing to handle. And since it hasn't run for two years he might be out of practice !!!
