I lost a hen today, one of the PRs. I sometimes wonder if they break their necks when fighting for roost space. I got more than enough, but they got to go for that prime real estate! Or she may have been the one to lay this and just couldn't take it.

I forgot to tell you about the lady I have been corresponding with for about a week.. she asked all kinds of questions about how old were all the birds etc etc..  then last night she says..
a hen just came out of the barn with a bunch of chicks, so I won't be needing any chickens.. and am not interested in the geese anymore, because we want goslings..  yeah right..  couldn't she have mentioned that right away ??  I do not get pizzed off very often, but I don't like to be led on and then lied to..    I have her name in my files..  If she ever contacts me again, I will ask her right off what she is looking for, and then I will tell her;  yes, that is exactly what I have..  and if she shows up to buy, I will tell her,  oh, i just sold them an hour ago..

I have a slight upset stomach,,  maybe I get a little crotchety then, eh ?

I have a.couple of people that jerk me around every spring. Always ask a bunch of questions, make arrangements to pick up chicks, and then never show! One lady has done it 3 times. Last time I called her out on it when she asked if we could meet. Hopefully she won't be contacting me next year.

Hi I am near Black River Falls new to site and this fourm Also very new to chickens, and that has started out as joke and ended with 1 roo and 3 hens so far. This has been to say the least a learning curve for me still lots to learn

Nice morning, getting ready to take the youngest DS off to TKD.

Doing some swimming this afternoon to get ready for the Tri. I hope I manage to make it across the lake and back without having a major freakout!!! I think I like swimming in pools......
