Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Had a good post going then Poof !!!! Gone with the wind !!

We spend about three hours in town last night after 9pm at the ER. ET was making me a ramp for my duck ponds so they wouldn't drown (big pools are out now around ducklings) and he was using a power nailer !!!! Heavens only knows what he was building. The nail he was putting in hit a nail from the other side and went through the side of the board and straight into his other hand !!!

I was quite impressed with the vending machine drug dispenser at the Hospital. I watched a guy that broke his fibia bone in his leg doing cartwheels get his meds out of it.
So when it was ET's turn to get antibiotics I punched in the code the doc gave him. A bunch of loud clunks and then nothing. Then a printout popped out telling him to see the receptionist. I thought maybe it ran out of the meds. So had to pick up the black phone that was on the vending machine and talk to some guy in MN. No offense but he had an accent so I thought for a minute that I was talking to someone over in India like when you call the phone company !!! LOL
Anyway, he said the clunks were because the machine was trying to verify the UPC codes on the medication it was trying to dispense and he needed for someone to open up the machine. So the head nurse came over. She got on the phone.... no, she said, she didn't have the key "they don't just hand them out to everyone" !!! Then gave the phone back to me. ET in the mean time was over reading magazines. The nurse asked me if I wanted a chair while I was on hold waiting for the receptionist to call Marshfield pharmacy to find out if they knew who had the key.

In the mean time I was asking the guy if we could just start over. Give me a new code and start from scratch. Nope. Someone had to open it. Then he said he could print out a RX for us to take to the local pharmacy. Da... That's why we were using this fancy dancy drug vending machine, cause we live "UP NORTH" where everything closes at 6pm. LOL Finally he said I could hang up (about 15 minutes later) and just pick up the phone when the receptionist got ahold of someone to open it. In the mean time he said don't touch the screen. He was doing testing from MN and all sorts of weird stuff was popping up on the screen.
I have to tell you that the first thing that came to my mind was the show Candid Camera !!! I mean this whole experience was so weird !!! Then he said he would print out the RX for ET to take to the pharmacy today. I finally agreed. Hung up the phone and waited, and waited. I started looking all over the machine for the RX to be printed out... NOTHING !! There was the big hole where the meds where suppose to pop out, then there was the flat slot where the receipt came out... thought that might be where the RX came out. Nope. So finally really feeling like the guy from candid camera was about to make an appearance I picked up the black phone again and asked the guy where the RX was. He said ..Oh Sorry it will print out by the reception desk !.... LOL Now I really was thinking I was on Candid Camera !!!!
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get his meds from the vending machine.
Before we even saw the doc I was curious as to whether the machine ever has issues.... guess I answered that question.
So, they ended up giving him two days worth so we didn't have to drive back to town today and an RX for the next 5 days.
Poor ET, now he not only has a hole in his hand he has three scabs on the top of his head from hitting the top of the duck run the other day. Told him it should have been taller... We both hit our heads all the time !!

I met up with the medical supply person in Pelican lake today to get the due higgy that you put on your finger to check your oxygen. Oximetry test monitor... Have to wear it all night and return it in the morning. She showed me the huge contraption and tanks I'll have to use if I need the oxygen !!! Wow, guess I need to clean a spot next to the bed !!!
CRS has kicked in....so might be back later.....unless ET gets into something else tonight...right now he is napping right next to me on the bed so he is safe. That is if the fan we have in the window above the bed doesn't fall and hit him in the head !!! LOL Don't worry, cats have already knocked it down, we tied it up with bale twine for safe measure !!!! Sure now watch the screws holding the valance up rip out of the wall !!!! LOL

Highly suspicious its bbp hubby lol AWESOME!
Remember she said she wanted your swimming pool !!!

Julie just posted this on FB:

UPDATE!! Surgery is scheduled for the 1st of August. My surgeon did not read my pathology results before my last appointment and was only looking at the MRI. She since read them and told us yesterday that the cancer appears agressive, which we already knew, but not invasive. Not invasive is excellent!! So, game plan, lumpectomy. The tumor will be sent out for testing to make sure it is not an invasive cancer, it it comes back non-invasive, I get plenty of radiation (fun) and that's that. It it comes back invasive, I go back in for sentinel node dissection or single mast with radiation and possibly Chemo. We are banking on a lumpectomy now! Yahoo! Great news. Thank the Lord!

Advice???

Hey !! I just happen to have about 10 that I would give up..

those nibbles are friendly nibbles.. they shouldn't get any worse.. I would let him/her keep doing it,, If at a later date they do get unbearable, then I would put a stop to it..

I got rid of many chickens today.. the first nice couple took 6 buffs, and 6 of the laying hens and a Delaware rooster..

the guy from Wittenberg, took 4 young barred rocks, a couple of Del hens , a couple of barock hens, and 2 buff orps..

we now have one Del hen, 2 Del roosters, the old colored roo, and one barock hen with her 9 chicks.. Now maybe we can make a sack of feed last a week..

we still have 20 Buff orp pullets, and 3 roos.. and in the other pen we have about 30 barock chicks assorted ages/sexes .. with a few turkey poults and a couple guinea keets..

I almost forgot the dozen Del chicks in the TV ,, and the several Del eggs in the bator due tomorrow..

Oh yeah, Annie found 18 more guinea eggs for me to set..

I guess we will never get rid of all of out chickens,, (heavy sigh)

I got my new V-belt.. but by the time I got it home, it was too cold and windy to work outside..
