Layer is for just hens that are laying.Questions for the "chicken gurus" . . . I have been feeding Nature Wise chick starter to all of my birds since the June 6th hatch of my Delawares, since everyone is in the same coop and run. I'm thinking of getting one more 50lb bag of the chick starter which should last me until the end of August. The little buggers will be about three months old by then, is that too young to start them on the layer pellets? I ferment the chick starter and will do the same with the laying pellets. Thanks in advance
Thanks..I sure hope soDeli I believe the eggs do darken as the bird ages...... but don't quote me on it......
How old? Had the same issue was Mareks, pullet was not affected until 12 weeks of age started limping on one leg and then after 3 days almost total paralysis. Hope yours is not the same. The chicken gods look down on me!!I don't know what I did wrong.... another pullet down, well limping. Not taking the risk of letting her walk around like last time, separated. That's just my luck..![]()

Hi!
Yea, I'll take almost any feathers, I don't think I'll need the little fluffy ones, but some nice white ones would be nice, (I realized I don't have any white chickens! LOL) I'll be making metal tipped quill pens, bookmarks, and hat decorations. I'm going to attempt to teach myself how to cut quill pens too. I may come up with more thing too. A batch is what ever you feel like sending, maybe stuff a large envelope or a small box. You can let me know what you think they are worth if like. The idea is to be able to provide an inexpensive souvenir.
Thanks again!
someone told me that there is a international poultry show in portage wisconsin this year. i was just wondering if that was right and if anyone has been there what is it like.
