Yes Zeke, Bl4 was there. She had the big party bus this time. It was parked way down to the right of the main building. You would have driven right past it when you first got there. I think she was there on Friday. Mel?

Chickens are holding up well despite the frigid nast. We got 9 eggs yesterday (whoo-hoo) but 4 of them were cracked.

The pullet eggs are getting bigger and two of them have been torpedo shaped. Must be some of Hershey's girls.

Not much else new. Just trying to keep warm. Sweet dreams, all!

We showed up at 10 PM with the giant RV on Friday night........ Zeke, did you bring the homemade wine? The bash is a jumble due to our vacation immediately following......

No RV this year, I think renting a pop-up should do the trick.

Terri, are you changing the bash thread? No biggie if you do not, but your link and BigZ's both say the fourth, and his is from last year........ I just don't want anyone confused.

School tomorrow!!!!

And the ducks go back home. The cats have enjoyed tormenting them.

Hi All!

Nothing going on here, chickens are still holding their own, however, I have to keep an eye on Tom Tom the turkey, he made some odd noise today.

Well, I have an A.M. appointment so I better get to bed.... Night All!

Chickens are cold but good. When we locked them in, they were so ticked they decided to not lay eggs for 2 days. Hopefully that is remedied now!

Say Cheryl or Terri... we will be in Marshall for a wrestling tournament this Saturday and hoping my mom will drive up from milwaukee to meet us... is there a good Pizza Joint or resteraunt around there?

Any snowdrifts blocking your chickens? Here's a few pictures from my husband... he said the snow drifts in one part of the run was 5' high.




Our coop is on the left, the makeshift coop shown is for new spring chicks and integrating them with the established flock (they can see each other but that's it).


House in WI (all my kids go to WI schools), but my farm is 3 properties from the WI border in Illinois.

How do you provide them water??

Do you live near a pond/stream? I would like ducks but my stream is over 500 feet from my house and not too sure if they would head to the stream and never come back.
