Welcome to the newbies.

Hey Jim, so glad to see that two of the pups went to good Cheesehead homes and that your friend Brian is ok, can't beat a great dog!!

Frenchie - good to see you back and so sorry about your baby

Gee so much I wanted to comment on and now CRS - I should have done like Jim a few posts back and commented on each page.

SClark - so glad baby girl is doing better, she is a cutie

Well hubby and crew are just finishing up on the roof for the day so I need to finish this up . . .don't want to miss out on the beer break - NG Two Women (yumm). Someone mentioned Abendroth Hatchery, I hope they are reputable since I am picking up a dozen Black Australorp pullet chicks on the 5th. I thought we had a broody hen at the beginning of the month so I found someone with a really good RIR blood line just south of Monroe. He collected a dozen eggs for us to set under her. Long story short . . . Kristip is incubating them for us and they should be hatching on or around the 5th so we can brood them with the BA's. For anyone interested the long story is on my WEB site http://rindyberry.com/broody-or-not-broody-that-is-the-question/

Ahh they are breaking out the beer - gotta run.

It's been a long day already. I had to be up and out of the house early for an 8am game. DD13's soccer team won their game today 8-1, 2 weeks ago they won 7-0. Then I went grocery shopping for my dinners this weekend (mexican today and asian tomorrow). Trying to eliminate meat from my meals and keep the foods minimally processed. Not going vegetarian, but drastically reducing. After getting groceries put away, DH and I went hunting for plants. All we found were some seeds. I got kale, mustard, and collard greens and planted them. Theo tried to help and didn't understand why I wouldn't let him.

You will have a great time here and will laugh often!!!!!!

Good to know about the Dotties and EEs!
I did go buy a couple saddles from Cluck today. I got one on and the other hen really squaked and fussed and kicked and I just let her go. I'll try again tomorrow. I might try to find some snaps to adjust it. It is the HenSaver brand, single strand of elastic which is really hard (IMO) to pull the wings thru. :/ It's canvas so it's really stiff, and she's kinda grumpy about it (Betty, the one I managed to get on)
Now if I can manage to spend time on the sewing machine, I'll be in good shape! Ha!

Hope you all enjoyed the day..... Not looking forward to more cold rainy days coming up.
Gnite

Hey all! Had a wonderful day with Teri and Derek. We had puggy pies on the fire pit, and tons of fun!
We are home safe. And the kitties surgeries went well. They are chillin in the bathroom.
My jeep (the new used one) took a sh! T on the way home :'( I am very frustrated.
And tired.
Nite all!

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I was wondering if anyone in the Green Bay area was interested in a true Ameracauna cockerel? I've got a couple that I had planned on processing but I don't think they're going to be near big enough by the time I have to get rid of them per city guidelines. Message me for details if you are interested.

Nice day coming to an end up here in the northwoods (by Hayward dpears and probably Ur closest cheesehead on here). Ducks are pooped from swimming in the "lake" all afternoon, dogs from being outside all afternoon in their pen the first time since the deep freeze and we got another pen done and our Red Golden juvie males in it.

My unwell ducky was in the pond earlier too and is now joining its sleepy duck family outside again. Gave orders to SO that if he looks bad again tomorrow when the rain starts to bring him right back inside. Not gonna chance it...

Candled our almost locking down duckling eggs and it looks like I can already see 3 little beaks trying to wiggle in the lit up air sac! So excited to see them hatch. Who's gonna be first, the pheasies or the ducklings?!? Bets anyone?

After a productive day just now watching the rain clouds moving in. Not looking forward to a rainy week with a high chance of deeper lakes forming in the backyard. Yeay oh yeay.

Post it either in the "free rehoming" or "buy/sell/trade" section. Easier to find there by people looking for Ur roo!
