We must have lost a couple inches of snow today. Looking like by the end of the week there's gonna be grass showing everywhere

Made Valentine's dinner today sine it looks like Tuesday is going to be pretty busy...... ribeye's on the grill, boiled shrimp, and sautéed scallops. That DH is spoiled rotten........ I picked up two cans of smoked oysters for him too.


Still slightly under the weather...... I still have a sore throat from whatever that bug was. It is enough to be annoying but no worth going to the doc.

Get to head over to the dentist tomorrow..... time for yet another crown. Good thing too, half the filling fell out tonight.

I would have been on here sooner, but I dozed off watching TV after supper. I woke up just in time to watch the 10 O'clock weather. siht, now I won't be able to sleep later on.

It was lonely feeding the chickens without my shadow under foot. I will miss him for a little while.. He was at the point where he tagged along with me rather than going to his mama.. he would come when I whistled and he learned to not put his feet up on the furniture..

we had meatloaf yesterday, I was going to have a sandwich, but GS Kalib finished it off last night.
ya gotta be on your toes around here..

I have to go to the VA for Labs in a little while.

Then going to the restaurant for coffee.

I have to get off my arse and pot some grape scions. some of them have nice long roots..

I hate when I wake up and feel like I never slept. Eyes burning and a headache. Maybe some outside time with the poochies will cure that. Let the girls out this morning to enjoy the weather. I cut em up a cantaloupe and a watermelon for a treat. They made quick work of the majority of it.

Hi,

I had shrimp something or other tonight, kind of like Alfredo. it was good.

this afternoon I got off my arse and potted a quite a few grape scions that were budding out. a couple of them had LOTS of roots..
I tossed a bunch of scions that don't look like they are going to do anything. If most of the potted ones make it, I should have enough to finish the row I started last summer.

some of the potted scions from before have groups of leaves on them,

the elderberries are really doing well.

I ran out of tall containers. gotta get Annie to buy more food from the deli ..LOL

the apples are showing signs of roots, but no leaves yet.

Annie collected 52 eggs today. found one dead red chicken under the roost. that happens.
not a bad winter, though, lost only 2 chickens.

I like these thawing days, I can let the chickens run loose then I don't have to carry water to them.

Just getting done with work. Off to the meat place shortly for a little whackin n stackin. I didn't sleep real well yesterday so I'm a bit tired today. I think my body wanted to be up and about enjoying the weather so I was really restless. Hopefully better sleepy this afternoon.
