Could you post pics, DA, pleeeeeease? fl I intend to build at least one, probably more, for breeding pens. I'm in a quandry with free-ranging; I love and want my birds to free range the yard, but just can't have them everywhere and pooing on the driveway, it isn't very professional for DH's business (self-employed.)

I swear I will get them on the blog by the end of the week....Been CRAZY around here as of late. The new coop isn't really a chicken tractor as we just had the wheels on it to move it where we wanted it. I guess it could be though, as we intend to move it closer to the house for winter, but I will get pics of the other three up by the end of the week, check on Saturday and the pics should be there....​

Early Evening All... yep me and suzie voted today like always. We did a write in for town clerk for a lady that decided she can help a real change. I'm sure she prolly won't get in. Money and adds get votes...being right and honest isn't enough.
Good to hear the pies are great Doc...hope you enjoy the bb, not only the taste, but the ease of it all.

Glad to help with brooder space if you're pinched at all Jim. Me and Suzie will come visit you and Annie as soon as you want us to.
Let me know how the napkin and plate pile is? Hate to drive up without a payload of some kind...venzun for sure.

The provider came and replaced the modem today. My puter works....

and Suzies lab top won't connect to the web...

Amyable, yes I saw a bluebird on April 2 and the Hwy 45 N Hwy 10 W interchange on my way home from work! There is no mistaking that flash of blue!

Thanks for the glasses sympathy, Dr H...

It was my own stupid fault. I ended up ordering a new pair from Zenni Optical online, and only paid $9 something for frames without lenses, and I ordered them similar to my old pair. I've heard some really good stuff about them so we'll see when they get here.

Almost nothing got done today. I had too much running around to do. Although I did make some chicken soup by request of my daughter, and we had that with flatbread for dinner. Delisioso once I fixed the underseasoning problem! I've got cages to clean out tomorrow and floors to clean, and then maybe I'll have time to get to cleaning out the garage, too. Oh, and laundry and bread baking! Well, I'm off to watch the newest Castle episode...talk to you all later!

Speaking of bird sightings, (and I forgot to mention it earlier) last week Tues DH tells me there is a weird bird in the yard and do I want to come see? I was trying to nap with the babe, so no no no. So he took a pic on his phone; lo and behold it is a chukar partridge! Literally 2 feet from the house! It must have been released or escaped a game farm, there are 2 within a couple miles of us. I thought that was neat

as for the bird sightings, last week I was saying to my mom that I hadn't seen a robin yet? she looked at me weird lol when we drove in HER driveway there one was standing. lol then later that day I seen one at home lol

Good Morning Good People! I have to git to thinking on what to bring to the Bash for sure. Will check to see what's already on the menu first. For sure gonna make some egg noodles, I know it sounds weird but wait till you try them you'll be back for more. Bigz's beer bread was excellent with the soup! The egg brushed on top really made for a nice glaze. Have a few things to take care of around the house then out to hunt for some dry wood. Hope your day is a good one!

I wish I could come to the bash, but that's the weekend of my daughter's backyard campout with her Girl Scout Troop! (And since it's in my backyard I guess I really ought to be there, huh?

)

I am SO SICK of this cat! I really do think he'd do much better as a barn cat but he's my daughter's (who else would name a poor male cat 'Lollipop;?) and with so much other stuff going on in our lives (my husband and I are getting a divorce) and so much moving around I don't want to take that away from her. So, until then, plastic bags, paper toweling, and the Bissell Green Machine are my best friend. GAH. Maybe when we get settled he'll get settled, too. I had two job interviews on Friday, one of which I think I can have the job if I want it, but how on earth do I work out childcare for second shift when I live out in the boonies? And it only pays $10 an hour! I can't believe I'm doing this, but...I think I have to turn it down. I've been looking since November, nobody wants to hire a six-year stay at home mom in this economy. I'm really hoping something comes up soon!

In hen news, I've been asked to do a presentation at an inner city school in May for their farm week. I'm going to be taking my Angora, too. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to cover? Suggestions on handling hens in a room full of 45 4 and 5 year olds? I'm going to be setting up an incubator in their classroom next week so they'll be hatching by the time I get there, so maybe they'll have gotten a little of the chicken out of their system by then.
