Uh Oh TO's PO'd!!! Hope it's not bad news but suspect it is. Shouldn't tell you this but if any of you wimins ever want anything from me all you have to do is cry. But all you guys could have whatever you want anyways so don't cry. I HATE that! Such an ol softie! Jim I kept thinking of the Foghorn Leghorn toons with "I'm a chicken hawk" episodes. Think that hawk was lucky he didn't get any closer than 2' from those hens they would have tore him a new one. It was really weird cause the hens didn't get all that flustered at all they just kept a few feet from it, think they were sayin look at this lil fool what does he think he is, you wanna kick his butt or shall I?

Yup red and green deficient too. Are you left handed? That's common. As I've said before when I was a kid my parents used to love car rides and quizzing me on the color of certain cars. My pat answer was brown. THEY used to get such a charge out of that. Cheap entertainment I guess.

Man...everyone must be waiting for my rant....LOL! I am feeling better now...DH is not home yet. Well Jim it prolly wont be that kind of post and CC, that was a typo; I usually have to be there by 9 but the other cook had done a lot of prep work for me so I didnt have to go in until later! She missed a whole bunch of stuff I needed to cook with AGAIN--so my mood did not improve until I was back home playing with the chickens! Which leads right into my rant!
So last night I made an innocent comment about how I hated getting back home from work at 6PM and I just didnt seem to have enough time in my day to get everything done that I needed to do. (he got home from work at 4:30 and took the dogs to the dog park and was now sitting on his recliner reading a book and waiting for dinner to be done!) He said, "yeah, I've done it all my life." I really dont know how that "argument" started but he ended up commenting that if I got rid of stuff I would not have to spend so much of "my time" playing with "my stuff." I said that the chickens make eggs and money for us and the garden takes a lot of time and canning even more. So it's not really "my stuff" since he enjoys all the fruits of that labor. Well, I guess that wasnt good enough because he replied that it took WAY MORE MONEY than what we got out of it!

Whew, I feel better now! Thanks you guys! I have half a mind to go to the store and buy a bunch of cheap frozen pizzas and start serving them EVERY NIGHT!!!

(and not adding any extra stuff either!) OK I better stop now...all I can say is that he knew that this was my dream BEFORE we even got married...can I help it that his hobbies only include sports? I am jealous of the couples that see eye to eye on this kind of stuff...maybe they have other things that they disagree about?

I had a dream last night (besides the one that I had to prepare a sermon for a wedding...now THAT was a weird one!) that I found an outlet for my quail and eggs and they were paying me $12/doz for eggs and $10 a bird!!!

Yup, and I sonld all my chicken eggs too...I was making MONEY on my birds....I wont tell you the rest!

Well got home about 1/2 hour ago, we were at the barn ALL DAY...
Had a lady come out shortly after we started to look at some of the birds I have up for sale (the polish and frizzles).
She could NOT make up her mind.. OMG... she finally bought one of the english cuckoo's, the two frizzle polish, one of my cross bred
chicks, and a cross bred chick I got for free at the swap.
We dismantled stuff from the last stall to get cleaned, got the feeders and waters placed, the nest boxes in place and most of the chickens where they are supposed to be.
I got pics I will upload later. Gotta go make dinner.

Congrats on all the work Carol! I have your shirt here if you are missing it...hanging on my basement door. (in case I forget where I put it!)
I decided to move the chicken coop I made and hook it onto the pipe enclosure I used for the pigeons. It is going to be the new guinea coop! I think they will be happy in their own space instead of sharing with the chickens.
I am going to get some straw in the next few days and make a straw house like someone on here (Raim? BCC?) made for winter last year. I really would like them to stat out of the barn/coop because of the frozen poo balls and the water issue! Maybe it will work.

I culled that chick from the egg that took so long to hatch yesterday...When I took it out of the bator it had one goofy leg. I put it into the brooder and it never straightened out at all all day. I remembered the last one like it and ended it's suffering early...another one hatched today...it is fine.

Dinner is done and cleaned up. I have posted our scrapbook get together on FB, notified the hotel, and hope I have no response...I guess that might be mean but BFF and I are kind of tired of putting on this shindig and being left with the mess....so If we dont get the numbers we are planning on going BY OURSELVES! Hopefully DD will be home so she can take care of the birdies....etc.

Well, looks like nothing else to comment on...going out to wade through the mud and close doors...Carol, I will not be wearing "the slippers of death!"

I think your friend should add that to "adventures in Carol-land" Every time I look at those shoes I start to crack up again!!! You can tell the story if you want...

Evening all

very busy day today, just finished dinner, we painted a 1200 sq ft unit today and finished around 6 pm, new carpet is going in too- the person putting in the carpet will be finishing up tomorrow and wants to be done by 1 pm. Of course the new tenants were planning to stay at the unit tonight as they have no other place to go...... so we rushed this one and I am heading to bed

FT, WCC makes me tired! I sure wish I could get done everything she gets done in a day. I hope your dentist appt. went well & painlessly. And I haven't heard from anyone else yet, but it looks like the 22nd is still in the lead for the day of the bash. Sorry. I know you were hoping for the 15th.

Oh Jim, I don't think your heart is so bad.

DrH, I almost had a BA roo from TO, so you were close.

But if I get one & get some chicks, you'll be first on my list.

L has a good man. And don't feel too bad. DH & I were planning to head up nort this weekend too, but that got shot out of the water. Oh well. Deep subject. Guess I'll get some of those pears canned this weekend after all. I had a hawk sitting on the ground just outside of the girl's run this spring. My girls were way bigger than him, and they weren't very impressed with him either.

TO, there will always be something to disagree about, unfortunately. Unless of course you are DrH & L.

I'm glad you're feeling better, though. "Slippers of death"? Your Muck Co. boots, I assume? Yikes.

Hmmm, didn't get nearly as much accomplished today. More laundry, more coop cleaning, dragged the mater plants (potted) back into the greenhouse, did a pile of dishes I was trying to ignore. Dig a hole, fill it in. I like that one. Sure sums it up about right.

Evening all !!

Well the dentist appointment went well !! I got the tooth pulled. It is the one furthest in the back so won't affect to much. Teeth won't shift etc. He also filled the front tooth that had chipped with a coffee cup !!

Oh good, I hear my Atv. DH just got home from work and was asking me where i was !!! I said I didn't see it today, it was low on gas so I figured it ran out someplace on him this morning !!! Yes we leave the keys in it !!!

I wonder if the neighbor borrowed it? Will be interesting to hear were he parked it !!!
After I got home from the dentist and picking up my pain killer meds I ate my ice cream and took a nap, only to hear the water the pump. DH left the water running. When he called I told him that I had to get dressed again and turn it off when we hung up !! He said he didn't remember doing it, and couldn't remembe which one of the two he left on !!! So anyway I go out there to find he left the BOTH on !!!

TO don't feel bad you are not along. It was DH idea to get chickens but with my obsessive personality I liked them and the rest is history. I feel overwhelmed sometimes but wouldn't dare say anything to him. His first response would be Sell Them !!! He just doesn't get it !!! Animals have always been my passion and I am finally living my dream !!
Btw, I opened the coop door that had the guineas and all of the younger pullets and your Domonique roo !!! Well hope I have a roo for you by the time I come down there, Found one of the out this morning !!!

The last few nights I was out scooping up Guineas that didn't go in the coop with the chickens !!! Large fishing net works good !!! Now I know why Jim likes the white guineas !!! They are real easy to spot !!! Catching is another story !!! The ones that are roosting on top of the chicken run I grabbed by the tail. Was thinking oh how proud I am that I was able to catch them that way, wait til I tell Jim and all the cheeseheads !!! Then Bingo, they are so strong they pulled themselves free !!! Little rascals !!
So the older ones (parents) have been staying out alot I think. Oh well, deep subject right CC !!
Funny I drive down the road to the corner to get my mail and I see guineas running around in their little flock at the neighbors. I hatched them out for him. Gave him I think 10 or 11. He was down to 5 or so. Then he said he was up to 6. Different colors then I gave him !!! I think some of my flock took up residency at his place. Now today I counted 7. He has every color !!!! Will be interesting to see how many he'll end up with !!! They live on a corner so you see these little buggers walking around the yard. They stayed out of the road today but a few weeks ago they were in the road. Our road isn't busy but you if you know guineas you know they aren't the brightest and will just stay there.

TO nothing wrong with frozen pizza !!!! $2.29 at Aldi's !!!

I found out that SPIKE tastes real good on it. I made pork chops yesterday and sprinkled SPIKE on them. Then smothered them with cream of mushroom soup. Best pork chops I've ever had !!! DH said they were a bit salty. I said Yeah cause I forgot the SPIKE I have isn't the salt free kind.

Anyway, the tooth that they pulled today would have cost $2000 to do a root canal and cap it. Plus being way in the back and I have TMJ it would have been hard to work on. Then to top it off he showed me on the Xray that one of the roots had a curve to it at the tip and said it would be very hard to do a root canal on it. The alternative was $100 to pull it. I said go ahead !!! Come to find out, as soon as he started yanking on it he said now I can see why you have pain. The tooth was cracked and I couldn't of had a root canal done anyway !!! That was a relief, no decision to make after all !!! Plus it had a abcess. Ticks me off that in June the dentist I saw there said my pain was from TMJ. He filled the tooth in question. Should be able to get a refund when the duck up !!!

I liked the dentist I had today, I asked him if I could request him each time, he said yes but he will be getting married and moving back to MN in 7 weeks !!!

He met her just before he moved out here a bit over a year ago and they had a long distance romance that lead to getting married. He said, you never know, maybe I'll be back in a year !!!

They said I could put ice on my cheek to keep the swelling down so I figured eating ice cream would do the same thing from the inside out !!!

CC no problem about the bash. I will be meeting up with WCC and TO probably on Friday so I'll get to see them. Won't get to meet Dk or Kristi, HR and MLH but there is alway next year. That will give me Saturday to visit with my Aunt and see my New little niece too.
Not wo mention, start getting my house ready to sell down in Racine. Anyone want to buy a duplex ?????

Ok, got another DVD from Giddyupflix.com gotta watch it so I an get it back in the mail tomorrow and get another one soon !!!
