Everyone is fine and happy, the handyman's kids were out and helped feed the chickens today, I found one of my cuckoo eggs on the floor next to the waterer... guess she couldn't wait.

TO I think your muscovie will want to hang out with the calls when they are introduced to the flocks.. they sure like the waterer I have in their stall.

I am tired, my carpal tunnel is causing my hands to go numb and tingle. And I didn't get a good sleep last night

Good Aft All! We survived but it doesn't feel like it. Haven't been that naughty in a long time. Holy crap! Only got 4 1/2 hours of sleep went to bed at 1:30.

But I still feel for ya Rai! I've killed 10 flys since we got home this AM. Begining to think their zombie flys. TO nice harvest! Think your right about the Turk. Jim that was a bad but have to agree it's funny. Ditto on the B'day wishes for mom! Laura's is next Sat. plenty of time to get a card. Tic Toc Tic Toc. Thought the game would have a higher total on our side by now. WCc hope your CT feels better, I'm always stretching mine it helps with the pain. Sheilds just intercepted in the end zone. Poor StL. Glad to hear FT had a safe journey! Having real bad thoughts about next years garden. Gonna need more fence!

One good thing about getting home there was an egg waiting in a nest box, only been 8 days. Maybe it's a start of things to come. Had a great time at the party good people and good food, can't beat that! They all want to come down next summer for a camping party here. They did 20 questions on me about the chickens. I did get the roo to have eggs ? And now they all know how to do the float test for good eggs. Kinda blew me away that they were that interested. Maybe it was my imagination.

hi again, TerriO,, our packers won . I'LL bet you are happy about that ..

I got a load of granite hauled behind the guinea pen and then I hauled a load to the end of the driveway and fixed up the ragged mess the town left after they resurfaced the road.. as long as I was at it, I graded the whole driveway and filled in some of the dips..I have about 5 yards left of the pile to put somewhere..

some of it will go on the walkway between the small lean/to and the chicken coop.. I have to hand shovel the muddy dirt out of there first.. Not what I felt like doing today.. and I prolly will haul a couple more loads back to the guinea pen and fill along the whole outside edge..

that wind sure takes the fun out of being outside..

I have that one white americauna left.. I think it is almost blind.. I was feeding it out of my hand today and it kept pecking, but missing my hand. I would like to give her to somebody who has more time to spend with her.. she could turn out to be a real nice pet..

the quail are laying about 2 eggs per day. I am setting them as I get them.. I sort of think they are not fertile... the one turkey is still laying an egg a day.. I wish my chickens were that loyal.

DrH,, doesn't it amaze you how little people know about chickens ? No CC, not little/small people.. I mean, little knowledge.

My 45 year old nephew asked me "how do the hens feed the chicks, do they nurse them like dogs do their pups ?" You can't make this stuff up.. LOL

Ah jim...both DH and I lost it with the comment your nephew made! OMG! Are there people out there that really have that little knowledge about our world? Amazing!
Here is my canning haul for the day...it is weird that so may tomatoes make so little sauce!

THe stuff on the left is "Cowboy Candy." supposed to serve it with cream cheese and crackers. I took a taste of the LO sauce and I thought I was going to die...maybe I shouldnt have put all those habaneros in? Well, my brother will like it...10 pints of tomato sauce+ Tastes kind of like Marinara sauce. And 3 pints of pepper jelly. I am beat! Now I need to make some dinner...gee, glad I go back to work tomorrow!

My husband should really learn to listen to me! He took the dog pheasant hunting today. I always yell at him when he cuts the burrs out of his fur and I specifically told him that I would brush them out. He comes in today and asks for the stop bleed powder. He cut like a 5 inch gash into our dog! And there were little cuts around it. Poor guy got tortured. We tried calling our vet to get some stitches and he didn't answer. Looks like the tube of super glue is going to come in handy. Luckily he's on an antibiotic right now. Men!

Wow you are a busy lady TO. How do you find the time? And all those birds too/

got a couple pics on the computer Mister and two of his kids.

I thought I lost a hen today. I looked all over for her last night in the dark. Then got up early and looked all over. I found her about 9 am in a bucket that had tipped on her and was upside down.
