are we sure that is cottage grove WI? it is posted in minneaoplis. I emailed them to find out... Not sure how I could transport it... Was it Jim in Wasua who said they had a wagon for transporting... wish it was closer... not sure if I could fit it in my in laws truck bed. I need a bigger coop! My 4 x 6 is just not big enough and this is closer to what I can afford than most I have seen these days. Wish I knew a handyman to built me what I want... DH and I are good, but not that good!

I emailed them on Friday and told them they were selling it too cheap. She replied back and said it's gotta go so she priced it low!

Just curious, why would you tell someone that it was to cheap ???? It would be a good deal for someone that couldn't afford to build or buy in this day.
I'm sure they know what it's worth.

Anyway, it it were closer I'd be interested too. Hope someone here can use it and it isn't to far.

Way to go Terri, one more win for the collection!

Yep, I managed putting off digging carrots til today. Nice muddy carrots that needed a good washing after being dug. Prolly a bushel, so it was quite the job.... The heavy soil doesn't just rinse off, takes a good rub....Suzie froze quite a pile of one lb bags for the kids. I put prolly 10lbs in the fridge, cause we already froze enough for us. Gonna give Suzies mom the rest prolly 10 or 15 lbs. Thought I didn't plant enough....looks like I did.

Nice to see you stop by Susie. Good to hear everything is fine your way.

Need to get my snowblower parts ordered this week to. Prolly gonna need it fore long, eh!

Had the orange hangin outside for a week. Had to bring it in to keep it dry. Move it back out on the line asap. Need every edge a guy can get on those wily whitetails!

Wish I had all the bales you used Jim. My neighbors think they are Gold!

Later ... bigz

I hear ya on the price of straw BigZ...my neighbor came over to get some squash I told him he could have and I asked him about buying some straw for insulation...$3 a bale! THat's slightly less than I have been paying for hay! I couldnt believe it, I was thinking that that was a good idea to put it around the coops and stuff (and my basement) for added insulation. Guess that's not happening here! He did offer to sell me corn for less than I am paying at the mill so that is something I guess...I paid $7.80 for corn today for #50. I thought it was closer to ten last time. Now I will pour it out into 50 gal buckets so we can measure it that way...maybe I will be able to get #100 for 10 bucks? THat wouldnt be so bad...all he had to say was that I sure had a lot of ducks! LOL!
Oh yeah, he also has some spotted lop eared rabbits--young ones. I forgot who was looking for them? He can use my buck and make more if you want a certain age.

Man I just feel like crap today...no idea why or if it's just the weather...I have felt like going to bed all day! Early one for me today I believe.
Well, gonna see if DH wants some dinner. Tomatillo soup tonight. It is one of my faves but I have absolutely no appetite. Prolly wont even eat it.
THey are saying 2" of snow tomorrow afternoon. I guess the temp is going to drop and the rain will change to snow. I am glad I have the day off! I might just cover up in this chair and stay here until morning...I hate when I have no gumption to do anything! It just feels so wrong!
Have a good evening! TErri O

(PS) hipe Elaine doesnt get too snobby now that she's won a prize!

Very nice info on that site...thanks. I think maybe they are from overseas because those medications cant just be purchased "at the chemist" around here! I wish that the drugs were easier to get so we could treat our own birds. Most chickens are very dispensable in the view of the vet...at least around here. T

congrats TerriO,, Maybe now those other states will have a little more respect for cheeseheads, eh?

Yes, I have an 8ft wide x 16ft long trailer.. anybody can use it if they want to borrow it.. just bring it back soon so it is here for the next guy..

I paid $1.5o per bale for 60 pound bales of hay.. grass and timothy.. real nice horse hay.. the bales will be slightly rotted by spring, then they will go onto the compost pile.. It seems like a waste, but straw costs more.. and how else could I build a 4ft x 10ft temporary shelter for $30.oo?

no rain or snow here yet. I was supposed to go to town with Sally tonight for poker.. i am not sure I want to go.. might be freezing rain later on..
Just because I am ready for snow, doesn't mean it has to come..
the first snow will prolly melt anyhow,, the ground isn't even frozen yet..

Brent, I heard of hanging orange in the cow barn, maybe you could hang yours in the chicken coop , eh ?
