I'm so glad your hen has perked up, Ang!For future knowledge-is there a "preferred" muti purpose antibiotic to have on hand? Thanks for all the advice with her!!!!
I have an adorable mottled chick that is 3-4 wks old. It is either a mottled lavendar oprington or its possible that a hamburg mix hen was n with a LO hens/roo. The chick has a single comb though-isnt a rose comb dominant? How about if the hen was a mix of 2 breeds-is it possible the chick could have a single comb?
I hope she's a girl.CC-Good to know! I am so hoping that its either a mottled lavendar orp or else its female!!!!! If its a male I will need to re home. But "Susie" is absolutely stunning whatever she is!!!!
And I am hoping that whatever was upsetting Hawkeye (not a great name I know but it stuck with her).....is gone. Sure wish I knew what it was...maybe ate something when free ranging that upset her? It was more like something wrong with her tummy..she walked a lil strange-tenderly almost, and her droppings were very liquidy
