LOL... almost forgot!
Did anyone watch Jay Leno tonight? They have this bit, I think it's called the Magic Clerk. Anyway the guy was doing his magic tricks and he asked a guy to pick a "prize" box. The guy picked a box and inside was a live chicken! They were laughing and the bit went on....I found myself fascinated by the pretty little EE hen! I know the "joke" was the live chicken that most people wouldn't want, but I'd bet most of us would take the hen over what was in the other boxes!

I am color blind , and I have hunted since I was 12.. You know what ? I never saw a deer that looked like a man, and I never saw a man that looked like a deer.. a couple of the guys I hunt with are color blind also.. and do you know,, I would rather be in the woods with them than a lot of people who can see color.. please , if you have no idea what color blindness is, don't judge ..

and if you know someone who is color blind, don't give them the quiz,, "what color is this, or that " ? It is like asking a deaf person what his favorite song is..

DrH , I will take pictures of the coop,, all I have to do is remember to grab the camera when I go out.. that is the tricky part..

can you tell ? I am not in the best of moods.. OK CC, now you can call me a grumpy old man..
gramma was a handful tonight.. long story short,, couldn't convince her to go to bed,, and it went down hill from there.. It took us a half hour to walk across the living room.. It took me 2 hours to convince her to try..

Hey all...chatty group...finally feeling a bit better and trying work today. Just can't shake a head ache and of ourse...insomnia.
Found out my SIL and her new girlfriend and my nephews re coming or thanksgiving...should be a houseful with them and two eats of parents nd the new puppy. He is doing pretty good, although going through the chew on everything and everyone stage....sure it will drive my non dog loving mother nuts. Oh well. And dh is officially jealous but won't say it...puppy plays with the kids and snuggles with me but does not always come to him. I keep telling him to play more with him and feed him and give him treats more...who is he home with th most..me!

Well, I hope Jim got some sleep. As you well know Jim, colorblindness varies in degrees. Occasionally there are cases when an individual is 100% colorblind...... now let us say that person is not the most responsible individual and we give them a gun and send them off hunting. They may see the deer, but in a snowy woods would they spot the hunter standing beyond the deer?

My brother is colorblind; we STILL ask him what colors he sees. Not to be mean, but to view the world the way he sees it. For the majority of the time we lived in this one house, he was certain the avocado green bathrooms were tan..... and we had a good chuckle when we found out and let him know what color the rooms were.

Good Morning Everyone! Cind it wasn't L it was my youngest DD that was clueless. If you met her mother you'd know why.

The vet said I could dose the kittens with the flea med but at a very reduced amount. Jim gotta agree with ya. Color blind people make better hunters. They make sure of their target like EVERYBODY should!!!!!!!! SR whatcha doin at McCoy? Tried to get a transfer there in the 70's, didn't work. "Back" is improving thankfully but still a ways to go. Have to keep on behaving.

I hate that! The girls are laying very well for having 5 of them in moult, think at least one of the 5 slw's is still laying. Getting 5-6 a day. Having b'fast for supper tonight. Bl4 your brother views the world as normal.

Nope it isn't that at all its who he is most comfortable with, dogs have senses that we don't they know how people feel/think about them and gravitate towards the one who sends out the most good vibes the puppy likes. Also from the natural instinct to gravitate towards who is the leader of the pack, and they aim to please the leader, its a social thing that came from there ancestors the Wolves..............
All my dogs have done that since 4ever even Adams dog Gidget, who was already 4 when he came here is my dog...... she don't bark for Adams attention but if she see's me, she will have ten fits until I go see what she wants............ I don't where the pants here that's Adams job, but all my critters know who is the head B_ T C_ around here. Even my horse, she will not come for Adam to halter her, neither will Lia the pony, but when I whistle em in they come right to me an and I have no trouble at all getting them haltered, my Farrier thinks its hilarious......... Even Adams Jack will come to me, and he pays him way more attention, because I am always taking care of the girls.......So I think it really is a sense they feel from us, treats help too I suppose.........LOL ya can get a chicken to do anything for a treat and they don't care who ya are.......just give me the darn treat already hehehe

Well interesting night last night I got a surprise visit from my hubby, guess he really did miss me, he couldn't get me on the phone I was painting a door for a friend, so he just drove home got here about seven, to surprise me......... It was a very nice visit because I was missing him terribly......... Wish I had known though because I would have preffered to make him a nice big supper, instead he got McNCheese and Polish sausage, I didn't have time to thaw anything........ and I don;t really eat a big meal when he is isn't here. Half the time I don't eat, just toast or something quick. need stuff for salads them are my favorite stand by meal.............or eggs of course.........

Good Morning Jim, I hope you have a better day with Grandma today, she sure can be stubborn, is it me or does that seem to have worsened as of late? Yah post pictures of that doggy mansion you built, its very nice made dog house Heck Id live in it if I was smaller.......
Now don't be too grumpy today its gonna be nice outside, at least for now. I just heard the weatherman say below normal temps this winter and above normal snowfall, 65 inches, heavier early snow fall...........yuck, but it is Wis. it will make those snow mo bumble fans happy............Not me though I can never get our 4 wheeler started without Adam how the heck am I gonna plow up all that snow.........and how is he gonna get in the driveway with that big truck in all that snow if I can't plow it........... GOOD grief I'm gonna have to pay someone to plow this year, I haven't had to do that in almost 11 years............ Maybe 1 or 2 times when the snow was high and heavy for the 4wheeler to push.
Man I am bored already the critters are fed, even my house chicken had her egg, the boys all had pancakes, and the horses are chowing down some hay..........now what am I gonna do I already cleaned the house yesterday, maybe I'll go clean the coop again............... so anyway Have a great day all.................Kim

I am too tired to post much tonight. I can't believe how tired I've been feeling since the time change.

The sickly Moosette has been steadily improving slowly. Her color is back to normal, as is her poo and appetite. I am debating on whether or not to take her back out to the coop. That one bloody stool really had me worried, but that was the only bloody one that I could find. I ordered some Sulmet but I haven't gotten it yet.

So far she has just been on vitamins & electros. What do you think?

Probably intestinal sluff off. You might try no sugar added yogurt for two days and see. Or raw milk.

Spent 12hrs yesterday boning out that heifer. Just me and my parents and butcher knives. Nothing fancy- cut out the ribeyes, some roasts and stew meat, but mostly just hamburger. Thankfully my dad has an electric grinder. Today we grind and wrap, but my brother and one of my sisters can help today so hopefully it goes a little faster. Between butchering and cutting it up I sure am sore! Doing nothing today as long as DS3 lets me.

Locked the chickens up for 2 days and got 5 eggs yesterday. Much better, but I felt bad keeping them locked in there.
